RE: Deranged Photography Contest - Birds or flying animals Theme

GannetColony.jpg

Australasian Gannets (Morus serrator) at their colony on the headland at Muriwai Beach, North Island, New Zealand. Most of the birds breed in NZ however fledglings fly directly to Australia, and typically do not return to their home colonies until their third year. The birds cruse at ten meters above the surface of the water, herding fish into dense shoals, then fold their wings back and dive into the water to catch their prey. This shot was taken with a Canon 50D, and Sigma 70-200 f2.8 at ISO 400, f/11, 98mm, and 1/1250s.

I am back after a bit of a break ! I guess Pro level again.

This is awesome. It looks like a painting. The colors on the birds are so cool.
