I recently travelled through Myanmar and stayed a few days at the wonderful Inle Lake region in Nyaung Shwe. Btw: If you love <3 South-East-Asia as much as I do, make sure you visit myanmar next time - you won't regret it.
Inle Lake (Myanmar) - You gotta love <3 it
Best food at Inle Lake (Myanmar)
I was taking a walk when I tried to find a nice place to eat because I was pretty hungry. This was when I discovered a small restaurant called "PawPaw"at a homely place. To be honest: It doesn't look very welcoming from the outside but once you are in the restaurant and feel the spirit of Zizi and her mom it is becoming LOVELY <3
You have to know: Running a restaurant in Myanmar only by women without a man in the background is a huuuuge thing and can be a big struggle sometimes ... so also big  for that ;-)
Zizi and her lovely mom serving traditional homemade myanmar food that is typically for the inle lake region and you have to love it. It tastes just wonderful and as everywhere in myanmar it has a very good price value. Of course I would rate it with ***** (5-Stars).
Make sure to book a cooking class with ZiZi (Owner)
If you have the time, make sure to book a private cooking class with ZiZi for the next day. It is very reasonable and worth it. Zizi will introduce you to myanmar food, incredients and cooking style in her very own lovely way. Also it makes a lot of fun to cook on gas and on the traditional "fire place". Of course hanging out with Zizi's Mom is also very fun.
Where to stay at Inle Lake?
If you are planning a trip to Inle Lake now and you are looking for a good accommodation for a very good price value at the Inle Lake region I can highly recommend the "Aquarius Inn" which you can book through agoda.com. The owner is a very lovely person as well as the stuff and they all gonna treat you like you are at home. The whole place was build with a lot of love and you feel like at home from the first minute. Btw: The owner likes german military jackets, don't be afraid of that ... :P
