RE: My forecasts of 2021 and new forecasts for 2022

in #deutsch3 years ago

Good afternoon (here) @zuerich. Coming to your account and reading one of your posts, for the first time. While it looks like you were a little off in 2021, we'll see how you do in 2022.

As an American, this one stood out to me:

"5. US Democrats will lose at the midterm elections in November."

While there are millions of Americans hoping this is the case, there is a very sobering reality overhanging this and future elections here in our country. Covered in excellent fashion by Mollie Hemingway in Rigged, it is the reality of how corrupted our election process was during the 2020 election. Here is this book's subtitle:

"How the Media, Big Tech, and the Democrats Seized Our Elections"

My beloved and I are reading this book right now. Very well documented, it is irrefutable there were serious problems with how this election was conducted. Sadly, executed in such a way that it would be enormously difficult to prove, as was undoubtedly intended ...

So ...

How will the American elections in 2022 turn out? We'll see soon enough ...

Nice to "meet" what appears to be a pretty level-headed European. With more time another day, I hope to learn more about your perspective.

All the best to you and yours for a great start to 2022! 👍🙂

Hello @roleerob,
Thanks for your comment and the book recommendation. As I find this topic very interesting, I'll take a look into it.
As an American, you may be interested in this post of mine.

And thanks for the compliment. I see many simpletons in Europe who cheer each and every political decision that sounds good (Merkel's migration policy, ECB's actions, centrally planned energy policy, ...) without thinking of unintended consequences. Every vote that turns against mainstream expectations (Brexit, Trump 2016) is immediately called populist - without questioning the reasons for these phenomena. So I like very much being a "level-headed European".

Looking forward to reading more of your ideas.
Have a great 2022! 😀

Nice to receive this thoughtful response back from you @zuerich. I have followed the link you have provided and written a more extensive response there to the content of that post.

If you have written an introductory post, I would welcome a link to it and, if provided, will look forward to reading it!

Here (https://peakd.com/introduceyourself/@zuerich/introduce-yourself-zuerich) I wrote something like an introductory post, but with little information.
I am in my late 30s, originally from Germany, living with my wife in Switzerland and working in the insurance industry. Perhaps I'll write more on myself in my next post on Germany, but I prefer to stay pseudonymous/anonymous.

Thank you for this brief response @zuerich. It tells me enough ... 🙂

"... but I prefer to stay pseudonymous/anonymous."

Very good. We are "kindred spirits" of a sort then, as I have a similar view. The only reason you and I ever "met" was due to my decision in August 2017 to begin investing in this remarkable new asset class. One of my initial investments was into STEEM. I did not, however, begin to "engage" until May 2018, as I had long held I would never establish an online presence. And ... Aside from this one ... I still never have and unlikely ever will ...

Great to see a quote from Thomas Sowell here! One of my youngest sons has read his works extensively and I have always enjoyed those conversations with him. Sowell has a remarkable story to tell and has been blessed with both impressive insight into what drives True economics and a gift of clearly communicating it. 👍

Do you have a Discord account? If so, I would like to send you a friend request. Mine is the same as here - roleerob#3299.

P.S. Your intro's bullet points about the STEEM / HIVE "wars" are also very similar to mine ... 😉

P.P.S. As a non-native, your English is excellent. Although I studied German (given my heritage) for 3 years, I didn't get very far in being fluent ... 😔

Yes, Thomas Sowell is great. I just read his book "Economic facts and fallacies".
No, I currently don't have a Discord account, but I'll think about it.
Thanks for the compliment. I mostly watch English movies and documentaries to consistently improve my English.
Have a great week!

As I believe our time is the most valuable "commodity" we have, I have come back to this to supply you with a link that provides some initial information, without you needing to get the book. The monthly Imprimis "free speech digest" is one publication which I almost never fail to read. It is that good (from my perspective). We are avid supporters of its free distribution.

In this post, you will read about some European references and I would be interested in your perspective on them, if you deem it worthwhile to comment. Also, here (detailing Mark Zuckerburg's $400M "contribution" to the outcome of our 2020 elections ...) you will read Mollie Hemingway's input on this same issue - the integrity of our election process. It was reading this that led to our ordering of her book "Rigged."

P.S. It would be "dereliction of duty," if I did not also provide this Imprimis link to what they had to say about the subject of your post here, titled - "The January 6 Insurrection Hoax."

Oh, the article on Imprimis is very interesting. I didn't know the voting rules in the US are that loose. But I'll have to read much more on that topic, to form my own opinion.
