Hi @jerrybanfield ! I found Steem because I follow Dollar Vigilante on YouTube. I've been watching his videos for about two years. He talked about how great it was, and I was naturally skeptical at first. He posted about how much money he made, and I thought it was a Ponzi scheme at first. It wasn't until I actually created an account that I realized how real it is. I've spread this through word of mouth to two real life friends and they have successfully made accounts and started posting! I'm curious as to why others found Steemit as well.
I found STEEM thanks to your YouTube video "Introducing Steem Basic Training! Day #1: What Next After Account Approval?".

First of, what a wonderful opportunity really Jerry, well mummy story on how I found steem was this, in 2016 may I was at a friend's place when he told me about a steem he said he had seen a site where you can blog and earn money, I told him that wasn't possible, we checked out STEEM online and there was little news about it, so we concluded it was just a facade in September 2017 a year later and, I went back to steemit and saw a that it was different, I had to cheek then asked people if they knew a crypto called STEEM, they said yes, that it was relatively new, so I knew that steemit wouldn't be a facade if the site was backed up steem and that was how the journey started after one year and 4 months that I should have started.

where they announced how Youtube has demonetized their political views videos and that Steemit.com could be a solution to it...
Then I created a Steemit.com account for myself and have tried to learn as much as I can for now..

Last year exactly around this time, the ransom ware attacked hard and the hackers were @theshadowbrokers . I searched about them and found out that they made a post on steemit. After looking that post and seeing the freaking dollar, i get confused what the heck is this platform. And after some research, i signed up and started using it :) I cam here of my own..

I found steemit by doing a search for crypticurrencies in general. I checked the various selections and was intrigued by steem. Its uniqueness gave me hope that I could honestly make money with my efforts as well as the market direction. That turned out to be a game-changer. To me, it stands head-and-shoulders above other cryptos.

I asked her whether she was blogging and she said yes that the system really rewards the members for their h ardwork.
This was on first of January 2018, just after I had asked God to grant me open doors as i need things to be doing in order to be productive.
I was so enthusiastic about everything, i was happy I got to know about steemit.

I learned about Crypto Kitties and found (via Google) that @brittuf was doing regular Kitty giveaways. By following his posts I found myself getting more and more interested in blockchain games, and wrote a few Steemit posts of my own (which really didn’t get any attention - ah well). I’m enjoying the diversity of people and content here on Steemit.

Last summer, I was on youtube watching videos about crypto when you (@Jerrybanfield) popped up in a youtube add. You upvoted yourself saying "I just gave myself eleven dollars" and I kept watching a 40 minute ad. Then I signed up on steemit, did an intro post and forgot all about it.
When I started to invest in crypto, I remembered about steemit. I saw what was going on and loved it. When I understood what SMTs are going to be I went all in on steem.

Since i joined steemit, my life has dramatically changed, i have become a better writer, i have met so many great personlaities that has become great motivations to me, i was just talking with @julietisrael right now, she is a bossom friend i met here on steemit and she's damn good.
Also i've become abreast with the happenings in the cryptocurrency world.
As a lady, most people will see me as someone who is not supposed to bother about things like this, and i have been alone on this course until i joined steemit, where i met awesome ladies and female personalities who are doing exactly what am doing and even more, the likes of @gee1, @jeaniepearl, @cherylsonty,@gloglo and @oredebby( today is her birthday though).
I have also been part of helping humanity. I was recently appointed as one of the leaders of @backtoschool project, which is a Steem based project aimed at helping students pay up their fees and earn curation rewards from steemit.
Summarily, my entrance into steemit has totally changed my life and am a better version of myself now.

I have been having trouble sending my Steem I bought on Bitrex over to my wallet on Steem platform.. used the memo key and it seems to always say invalid code, anyway maybe I should buy Steem on a different platform? I actually found Steem through @cryptovestor. He posts his videos on Youtube and Steemit. At the end of every video he mentions Steemit and directs his traffic there if they want to interact. After a couple of videos I finally decided to check it out, not knowing what to expect. It happened to be PERFECT for me. I have been putting off starting any kind of blog for about a year. I was brought in for crypto news/analysis, but stay for the community. :D
I learnt about Steemit from a friend, @theheralds last year December and he was able to guide me through my introduction posts although I made a lot of blunder on it. Since then, I have seen how amazing this platform is and is working seriously to promote steemit by inviting others and assisting them the little way I can. Some of the persons I brought to Steemit are @focusnow, acomputer programmer, @johnwalker1 and a whole lot others who are yet to make their introduction posts.
Steemit is one platform I have come to appreciate so much and is willing to promote till thy kingdom come so far it keeps being Awesome. You can even check out my blog and see a post I made showcasing the materials I produced for Steemit promotion.

I met steemit through my neighbors @edurley y @maeugenia, I always heard them talking about the same thing, and that really did not generate any interest. They explained to me that there I could load any content and besides that I could get some remuneration. They insisted that I join steemit and I told them I did not have time and that I also did not know how to write very well to be able to see myself well as many users. They responded, that it did not matter, that little by little I would learn and that maybe there would develop some talent that could have hidden. I did not have any other alternative but to pay attention to them and in August of 2017 I applied to be a member of Steemit.

It was @eurogee that told me about steem and steemit, but I was very reluctant to join because I just had a very bad ponzi experience where I lost a major part of my savings.
It took the continued pressure from @eurogee who not only taught me through a Whatsapp group he created just to help newbies before I decided to give it a try and that try happened to be one of the best decisions I have made in my life.
