just today I say a video of some guy who can open up his kitchen island to reveal an underground wine cellar...and all the Americans were talking about how it is a perfect place to hide....like wtf guys
To be honest fella I think its more 'sad country' you currently live in, and I say that in the most sincere way. We look at the US from afar and cant imagine what its like to live with such a proliferation of guns....but hey, as I keep getting told, 'I have a right to bear arms'.
In Europe, even Asia, if I hear a fire alarm going off, I think, 'wheres the fire? where's the exit?'......

I think it was recently that people got angry at someone (Eminem?) for having loud gunshot like sounds at a concert even though that type of sound and effects had been used in the concerts fine before.

I think the media pumps up the hype on these shootings. I mean in reality you are way more likely to get hit by lightning than get caught in a mass shooting. The danger in dying in a car accident or from texting and driving is so much higher. Still I would tell you to get a gun, learn how to properly use it and get your concealed carry license. Refuse to be a victim, be ready for anything. I mean I'm not living in fear that my house might burn down, but I still have fire extinguishers. Better to be safe than sorry.

I haven´t hear a fire alarm for about 3 years, but for 9 years I used to hear it once a year on a simulacrum of our school. I guess that reflects the safety of my country compared with the US and European countries affected by terrorist attacks.
I´m lucky enough to still have that "peace" when I hear something bad...
Damn. I cant believe you experienced something like that yourself. Thats rough. I live in Croatia, and you probably know about the war in the 90s here. Thats basically the last time we had to live in that kind of fear.
