Yes I hear what you're saying, I do agree it's bad manners to take over someone's post, but also unavoidable sometimes.
Thanks for the referral, I'll read the links more thoroughly tomorrow and give it my fresh morning brain attention, it does look promising although I'm a bit of a rebel when it comes to joining groups, partially because I'm notoriously inconsistent and unreliable. To be perfectly honest, my current goals on steemit aren't specifically growing my account, I'm still swimming the murky waters of morbid fascination, although I'm really enjoying some of the interaction through commenting.
As for Discord, I have been there and I am clueless :)
At least I can say today's meme was also my first and it wasn't too bad.
Have a wonderful rest of the evening/night /day til we meet again <3
I can feel ya :0)
Just the other day, I was expressing my surprise about me feeling so ‘involved’ in something - lol - ‘cos normally I’m not really a community kind of person. If somebody mentions the word ‘rules’, that’s enough for me to want to break them. If somebody says ‘group’, I’m the first to go the other way, mostly because I don’t like expectations (which I won’t or can’t fullfil anyway, because
a) I like to make my own choices
b) I’m terribly un-organised and all over the place)
When I first started out here, I was so overwhelmed that I got completely lost. Meanwhile, I’ve experienced the power of the SteemIt community in and the little sub-communities.
I have no obligations against any of them, it’s just nice to come across a familiar name every once in a while and ‘get to know’ people a little better.
It has helped me to grow, both as a writer and as a person :0)
Hahaha! You sound so much like me, we should start our own 'group' for disorganised and totally random steemians, publish a few guides on how to be a better steemit member, then NOT join the group!
Having said that, I will take your advice and guidance & get involved with the newbieresteemday initiative, they sound like really cool people and I'm definitely with you on the getting to know people and personal growth through writing and interacting, I also love learning new things!
