RE: Double Dip @ Your Own Risk ~ #idontsupportgarbage

I got all my tokens off that old blockchain as soon as I could... and sure I've probably lost some money doing that, but it was the principle of the thing y'know. No regrets.

Same here. Immediate power-down and with each payout, immediately sold and bought Hive with it. Def could have held on and made more, but I couldn't in good conscience even hold it anymore. It was dead to me, and still is.

Sort:

I powered down at the beginning too, but for a while I left my small delegation to dustbunny intact; eventually I stopped that too though (still have it in place on Hive) and sold it off. I left just the tiniest amount of tokens in there in case I need to do any functions for some reason, but otherwise, yeah.
I think some people who have language barriers reading all the news might be some of the double dippers? Or people who really struggle with settings; Actifit had it that the auto-setting at first was to post on both chains and you had to go in and change your settings if you only wanted to post on Hive. I wonder how many people just post their steps every day and that's about the extent of their chain use and they don't even realize because they're all kinds of tech-unsavvy or that's the only app they use so they're unaware of what happened.

I, personally, didn't see these people simply doing actifit auto-posts. They're legit double dipping/cross posting.

If there is a language barrier, or an unknown auto-setting for some people, that's a different matter. I'm not referring to those people.

I still have about 7 powered up over there as well, for the reason you mentioned.

It's the purposeful posting and legitimacy given behind that, that I won't tolerate or support.

Glad to hear you disbanded from there too :)

Oh for sure. With you there. I just try to think of all the angles because I'm sure some people are just unaware/un-tech-savvy/etc. But people who know what's up, should know better.

The people I follow, at least the ones I saw, would have to plead major ignorance to admitting they didn't know what happened. I've been here a long time, and so have most of these people. They know.

The un-tech-savvy people have an excuse, I guess. But again, this is not directed at them. Even though I wish they knew.
