The post he spent 387 Steem to promote.
@fulltimegeek's refund
Why blacklisted?
These are the post counts per day from proboards accounts (all posting other people's work on top of that). Over 16,000 post/comments in a single day!
Hiding all my comments
Update
He is moving on from all my comments to zero
He has now decided to start flagging a curation project to zero
Next this time tomorrow, he takes candy from a baby and knocks over some grandma's crossing the street. Stay tuned!
Many bots follow this same policy, and I think most people would agree 16,000 posts/comments a day is spam. Especially when they are not even your content and just reposting other people's content.
Either way, he didn't give any time to even have a discussion before threatening to flag everything I do permanently.
popcorn bot, do your thing!
Haha, he's apparently hesitating :-D
Certainly, 16,000 posts with spam should be on the blacklist.
Is the blacklist available to the public, where can we find it?

Hey markymark. I came across a nasty experience yesterday on Steem and it was pretty unpleasant. I don’t know who else to reach out to nobody answered my post. Sorry if this is off subject here.

I left you a message on your linked post.
Thank you I appreciate it. I’m trying to ignore the person but they just keep at it.

Can't we all get along on this beautiful social media , fancy faucet, oligarchy place?
Lol what kind of fantasy land are you living in? This place is a powder keg for drama.
I'm putting my money in Orville Redenbacher stock. This blockchain alone will create such a demand that I will be a millionaire in a couple years.

Hahahaha, good thinking in investing in Orville Redenbacher ! It creates more demand for popcorn than for STEEM!

I'm sorry to say but I have removed my witness vote(s) for you. Your "refund" transfer to the null account was (funny but) not acceptable for a Witness and that is the reason for my vote withdrawal. Like any downvote, I believe that an explanation for the action is appropriate if not required.
It was an emotional, not a professional move on your part and steem won't succeed if the people "running" it act like that.
Keep up the rest of your good work, it is noticed and I will vote for you again if you find a way to resolve this.
Who said it was his Steem. What was the serial number on his?
I know as a witness what an awful thing preventing pull ftg from buying 400 steem of bid bots for a post with just a link to a third party site. Or preventing him from posting 16000 times a day and buying bid bot votes.
So awful.
YOU said it was his steem when YOU posted the screenshot that said.
I'm assuming those are your words as you posted them.
By the way I do agree with..
And I do appreciate any effort to reduce SPAM.
However,
We (I) am not talking about his actions here. He is not a witness, you are and as a witness I expect something more.
A reference to your TOS policy with a clear and unemotional reason of why the refund was not given would have change my decision. But that is not what happened.
This went from a busines dispute to a flag war in 12 minutes. And as a Business Owner (Witness, BidBot Operator) you can't do that. You have to keep the emotions out of it.
You have to take the high road.
Update. After reading other posts I'm seeing that FTG is also a witness? If so, my comments also apply to FTG. And if so, shame on you for SPAMing.
It was symbolic to show it was nothing about money, all the steem is unserialized and just tokens.
I never flagged him. It isn’t a flag war it is him flagging. So I really don’t know what you are talking about.
I'm sorry for any misunderstanding. Let me try to make it clearer.
As a business owner you need to keep the emotions out of it.
You have a TOS policy for a reason, use it. There is no reason for personal attacks, inflammatory words, actions or emotions. They only make things worse.
You are trying to make an emotional case to justify your stance. DON'T! You don't need to. Your TOS makes it clear. If he violated the TOS point out where and how and let it be. PERIOD
I'm sorry for calling this a flag war. I am happy to see you haven't stooped to that level.
I guess a better term for this would be a "pissing contest" or a "shit show". Whatever you call it doesn't matter, it will only hurt steem in the long run.

Cool, do you have a ToS at buildawhale?

Some times it fucking amazes me how much drama there is on here, when there's really a small number of people (in comparison to other social media sites) that use this site.
When money is involved, people get crazy.
Yeah "money"... But we're talking about 60 STEEM ($18 USD) from someone that has +/- 350k SP, which is enough that he could circle-jerk himself the same amount on a daily basis.
That's more "crazy and looking for a fight" than just "angry about losing a couple bucks".
Did you refund in the end?

4800 posts! I never knew that was even possible.
Sorry, I was wrong, some days 16K
I struggle just getting one post a day lol
Well he just posts links to third party sites that promote his agenda, he doesn't actually post anything.
its sad. 50 people in a day seems impossible . But 16077 just sounds ridiculous....
Damit you could have bought some crack houses and meth labs with that!

Not that it matters now that you have the pumpkin vote but the only reason I don't vote for you as witness is for shit like this. When you keep someones money for a service that you advertise and then don't provide, this brings down the entire "trust" factor and feeling that it is OK and SAFE to do business on Steem (votes via vote bot in this case).
Image is important. When people hear about shit like this it reinforces their belief that Steem is to "opinionated" to make it a safe investment for their money. Every time something like this happens it does 10x+ damage to future, "outside" investment and makes every ones life harder on the block chain.
Who knows how many would-be whales berniesanders scared away with the "whale wars."
You would have been better served giving him a full refund and protecting buildawhale / Steems business integrity and then down voting his content with 60 Steem.
My unasked for 2 cents :)
He didn't even give a chance to give him a refund, just decided to threaten me.
I am in no way saying he was right. You are one of the MOST VISIBLE "faces of Steem" due to your success. But business is business. I don't expect the teller at the ______ shop to keep my money because we got into an argument, is all I am saying.
It’s common practice for the money to not be returned by bidbot owners when there is an attempt to bid something by a blacklisted user.
I’ve never used a bidbot, but I’m aware of it as it was brought up a few months back. Maybe that needs to be a bit more clear, but many promotion services use this method. So it’s not just buildawhale...
I’m only weighing in as reviewing the popcorn drama of the day I saw your comment and thought it needed clarification. “Keep my money because we got into an argument” isn’t really the case. I think the tos is linked above, but just wanted to throw that out there.
But.. but.. where are my waffles? !pancakes

@llfarms I was wondering, is the work you are doing for the steem alliance more work or less work than you thought it would be?
As for the refund issue, I don't care either way, it's not my money. I was doing @themarkymark a favor by pointing out this bad business area.
Imagine you want a new kitchen make over. You pay the handyman for the work up front. Then he decides to keep your money but does no work remodeling your kitchen. Then, when you call him to find out what is going on he makes fun of you and tells you that he is keeping your money. He then runs an ad in the local newspaper to make sure everyone knows about it....
How many "outside" people who are looking for a new kitchen do you think will want to risk doing business with this handyman, even though he gets good reviews when he actually does the job?
I understand what you mean and have actually asked about this policy before ... but if before I hired the handy man I was handed a terms of service that stated he could refuse service for reasons “a.), b.), or c.)” it becomes a bit different of a situation is all I mean. But you’re right, public perception can have a big impact on things.
Per the Steem Alliance question, I will say I knew it would be a lot of work and that is what I signed up for... but yes, some days it is way more on me personally than I had anticipated. I signed up for the job though and feel the benefit to the community will be very much worth it. I think we have a great opportunity here and I want to do everything I can to help achieve it. 🙂
