RE: For her [Drop in the Ocean Topic: Liberate]

haha true, also depends on who is doing the rationalisation. From her side sure, from his side it might seem like a necessary evil taking her personality into account. Parents are involved to an extent, so shifting focus to what is the core instead of having assumptions instead of ripping the band-aid and no matter what is said it ends up being cheating. Not doing that he might feel he controls the narrative. So still bad but not as bad.... Yip convoluted I know.

Yeah yeah! It all depends on who is rationalising... It's not always nice when parents get involved.

I dunno which one our dear lady in the story will prefer, but I think not ripping the band aids will just make her more confused! Maybe she will becom more "responsible" when that happens?

responsible when which one happens? The way I see it, by putting focus on her being able to look after herself as the main issue instead of blankly ripping it in a I don't want to be with you situation, before the relationship is over she should have adopted this new look at her own future although it starts as a means to prove that he should stay.

When the ripping happens😀. Oh, I get how you wanted it to play out...
