Did you think the Drugwars map was the last big thing? Oh no, our bag of goodies is large and not even close to being empty. There is still so much to come. Today, we decided to make a little teaser post and announce the next huge update that will soon take place. When? Hmmm, when it is finished :) This one is quite large and involves many things to function normally but we are working on it every day and will be happy (fingers crossed) if we finish it by autumn so wish us luck.
The thing is, these cards will not be just simple collectible cards because nothing is ever simple with us. We are always trying to push our limits and go just a bit further. These cards will be collectible, that is true but they will also be used in the game as an important part of the battle. Sure, a million questions are popping in your minds. We will try to answer a couple of them but only a couple. We did say how this is a teaser post so it will leave you wanting for more. Mysterious? Yup, that's us.
Cards, cards, and even more Drugwars cards. There will be different sets of cards, heros, units, buildings, and consumables. They will have different levels and different unique abilities for players to use in the game if they so wish. Cards can be collected and traded with others or used in the game. Our existing buildings and units will also become cards.
Ok, so... You are familiar with Drugwars battles, right? Players will be able to add cards to the battle besides units, if they want, of course. Battles will still be possible without the cards. Some cards will give units extra abilities or strengthen the existing ones, some will influence the opponent, amount of resources to steal, some will change the existing rules of the battle and some (hero cards) will act like special and powerful additional units that will shake things up a bit. We are preparing colorful characters with interesting backgrounds and origins from all over the world.
There will be lots of different cards to use and all of them will be able to level up by upgrades. Yes, you will upgrade them by joining the same cards together to level them up. That way, you will no longer have 2 or 3 Ninjas at level one, for example, but one Ninja at level two. And just how many cards are coming?
- 150+ heroes
- 20+ new units
- 20+ new buildings
- 20+ consumables
- existing buildings and units
Are you paying attention? Got everything? Let us recap. There will be collectible Drugwars cards will multiple uses. You can buy them and trade them, collect them all and prove to be the best collector there is. You can also use them in battles by adding them next to your units before attacking an opponent. Those cards can be leveled up by adding the same one together. We are sure that you are looking forward to them, and so are we, but you will need to stay patient until the end of summer for us to finish everything up. One day, they will also come out of their virtual form and become real tangible cards and collectibles that you can hold in your hands.
That's fine and interesting, but shouldn't you fix the game first before making more radical changes? Right now units vanish when moving them between bases, the game crashes very often, resources are lost in weird ways, and there is a ton of other minor bugs that make the game experience very bad (just check the discord channel "bug-report").
Drugwars is an early access game that is constantly developing. Bugs and issues are being resolved as we come across them and are very grateful to all our players for being so lovely and reporting them to us. We are a small team with a single developer that is working as fast as he can but rest assured that all will be resolved just as it was in the past. He is going over the bug channel as we speak. Keep being patient and enjoying the game, we appreciate your concerns and if you ever have any issues feel free to contact us on discord. See you around 🤗
Thanks for the reply. I am well aware of the alpha state and the single developer, I'm here since the beginning. But some things are crucial for the game experience.
For example, the fight simulator does not work correctly, reporting wrong results; so, when a battle is planned, you use less units than required and suffer much greater losses than expected. It is difficult to recruit hundreds of units in the game, so it is a huge setback to lose hundreds of them because of a bug.
Anyway, I appreciate the effort the team is putting, but I think there should be more testing before deploying an update.
Supporting is hard... I remember my 7 years... +100 customers =) Some shit... some super businesses! And you don't have ANY !BEER!!!! So I am going to give you ONE!
Awwwwww thank you @forykw, that is very kind of you. A nice cold beer sounds pretty refreshing to me right now even in this virtual form because it is so hot at my place that I slept on the balcony under the stars last night. Not so bad actually, not bad at all :D

go to steem-engine.com.Hey @zen-art, here is your

token. Enjoy it!I have been pretty vocal in chat about some things that DW has done wrong with their changes. But have to give some credit where it's due on this issue. Had a bug and messaged directly to HighTouch and over the next 45 minutes he tested a few different things and had me check to see if the issue persisted. In the end he found the coding bug, showed me the bug, and got it fixed. Pretty cool that he took these efforts to make things work correctly for those of us that are starting up new bases.
I suggested that there really should be more communication about the bugs in a format of "known issues", "priority list", and "bugs fixed". There is a lot more being taken care of then most of us realize IMO.
I am happy to hear that your issues got resolved and yes, Hightouch is a superhero to many 😉
agreeing on this
Well, 2 weeks after the update, and things seem to be rather smooth now, although there were MAJOR issues just after the update. I was victim of several bugs, but hightouch (the developer) was in contact with me and all problems were solved to my satisfaction. Excellent support in this aspect. I would suggest that deployments should be delayed a week in order to test the changes and fix the major bugs that deny game functionality; this will result in a much smoother deployment and much less frustration from the players.
Thank you for your feedback, I am happy to hear that all of your issues were resolved.
Every new thing is tested before implementation to the game but unfortunately, some things we notice when the upgrade is finished. This one has been tested for weeks. More eyes means more chances to spot the bug so we are grateful to our players for their continuous feedback and help in sorting everything out.
cool
Any news on the change of the Future Token?
Posted using Partiko Android
The initial plan was to have the change by the end of this month but we will see if that will be possible since there are still some issues with the map that some players are experiencing and other things we are working on. We will keep you all posted about that change, of course. Thank you for your interest in that, enjoy the game! 😉
Thanks for the info, appreciate that :)

What change?
this one: "[...] We are leaving Obyte and Future token in the past and stepping into a brand direction for Drugwars. [...]"
https://steemit.com/drugwars/@drugwars/drugwars-dollars-on-steem-engine
Hummm... nice. And obvious... Next step... jump on EOS too.
Where? where is the card of itharagaian ? ;)
hoolulu needs one too for sure :-P
He told he would make one, drawing already sent ;)
Are the Future on Steemengine unusable? There isn't a way to send it to the game is there?
It will be like yo-gi-yo the cartoon 😃
the cards look cool... I'm looking forward to seeing how they play and how the collectible market develops for them!
I want to ask a question that is not relatated to this post,
What will happen to our future tokens that are still stuck in exchanges like cryptox.pl when you migrate to steem engine? Will they still be of value? Or will there be a token migration process? I want to know cos I have a shit load of tokens I can afford to loose
There will be an airdrop of Drugwars dollars when they are implemented through steem engine. Future tokens will allow players bigger airdrop but they will need to be in the game so you have two options currently, you can sell your tokens or migrate them to Drugwars account to be used in the airdrop.
what about utilizing FUTURE token as a voting token
