This is a line reading right to left - I will read each word twice, first quickly, then slowly (meant to go with my blog on steemit). ► Listen on DSound
In as much difficulties my device gave me before accessing this post and the sound, I'm happy I'm not disappointed. You did a great job @hebrew I'm giving you a 5 star rating.
This what exactly I was looking for as far as pronunciation is concerned and thanks @hebrew for uploading this. The sound is essential to correctly spell it.

When I first started learning from scratch, I searched the internet for a reading that was slow enough for me to make the connections between new symbols and the sounds connected to them. Most read so fast that there was no way to embed the knowledge because it flew by so fast. I read Hebrew every day but I don't have anyone correcting me. I think you would agree that nobody is ever done learning the deep, rich, meaning of Hebrew as written in the Tanakh.
I have to comment, your English sounds as if you were a native speaker. Did you learn both as a child?
No, I was actually born in the USSR so my mother tongue is Russian. Came to Israel at age 7, learned Hebrew within about 6 months. English sort of stuck to me because I am a scifi loving geek, and I discovered the Internet at age 13. The rest is history. I guess I have a knack for languages.
And if you ever feel like speaking Hebrew, look me up on Skype. Same account name as here. :)

I know I have an American accent. When I started, I had a choice of accents, and from all of them I chose a teacher who spoke most like the Hebrew in the songs I love. I will try to find some of the teachers that I didn't like on youtube and get your opinion.

Let me know if you need any Hebrew voiceovers for anything, or want something read. :)
@techslut... do you also read / speak Aramaic ? I am working my way through the Sefer ha Zohar and have lots of questions between these 2 languages.
No, I do not. It's not a very useful language. Also, I am leaving the whole Kabbalah thing for when i am older, wiser and retired. :)
At least 40

your accent is very different than native hebrew speakers. i can upload a recorded audio as a native if you like.
המבטא שלך נשמע מאוד לא טבעי. אוכל להעלות הקלטה שלי כדובר עברית כשפת אם. אם תרצה בכך.
