The bitcoin transaction fee used to be completely free when you make payment of over 0.01 BTC. It should still apply to the BCH. I do not know why people have to pay the transaction fee anyway. The only reason they demand the transaction fee is to keep malicious DOS type attack with extremely small amount of transactions under control.
