Thanks for the response. They were added to the blocklist and did show up in the archive and were fine for a time. Then one day they just started disappearing from the archive, one after the other. I believe this occurred right after the cosmetic changes and upgrades to the DTube interface. Now its gone back up to 18 as I added a new one today, but I have no idea why the other ones that were there are no longer showing. The worse part is that I don't know for sure if any new ones I upload will stay there or push others out of the archive. I really wanted that archive to be rocking so that other geopolitical researchers could use it.

I've noticed the same thing- all but one of my videos have disappeared on dtube but they do still show up through the post on steemit. It seems like something that could be fixed eventually, but it makes it hard for me to suggest dtube to new people that would be otherwise interested in the platform because if they are looking for my video content, when they go to my channel page, only one video is there.
I had the same thing happen to me too now. A couple of my old videos didn't work anymore, but they still showed up. I found a pretty simple fix for it, though.
I just uploaded them again without pressing the final "submit" button. This way they were re-uploaded to IPFS and the old video references in DTube were working again.
Strangely enough i didn't even had to upload all of my videos that didn't work before. I just re-uploaded two of them and suddenly all the other videos were working again even though i didn't re-uploaded them.
My guess is, that it's some bug in IPFS and not DTube or the Blockchain, so it's something the IPFS people have to fix.
Ahh very interesting... I'll have to try that. Thanks for figuring that out!
That would be indeed a very serious problem. I'd like to think that my videos I uploaded up until now are safe and won't vanish because of some platform updates again.
I'm basically doing the same thing as you do. My channel's purpose is also more like an archive and not really for up to date videos, so let's hope this doesn't happen anymore.
