My first dTube video - Steemit Introduction

in #dtube7 years ago (edited)

Hello everyone, my name is Diego Guzman, a world traveler of 4 years.

I travel around the world documenting my experiences with the purpose of sharing them online.

My visits list included South, Central and North America, North Africa, Asia, Eastern and Western Europe... the goal is to visit every country in the world at some point.

I hope to interact with as many of you as possible, so feel free to introduce yourselves or ask any question at all, I'd be glad to answer!

Excited to be here!

Hello, Deigo, and welcome to Steemit.

Your world travel plan sounds ambitious, but you seem to have gotten off to a good start over the past few years.

Hopefully you will find that Steemit is not only a great platform on which to document your travels, but also a fine community with which you can share all your experiences and get plenty of great feedback.

And if you're diligent, you'll probably manage to earn some Steem also.

Below are a few basic points of advice re posting on Steemit.

  1. Longer posts are more lucrative than short posts. If you make a post of 20–30 paragraphs, it's more likely to earn rewards.
  2. Include some photos, images or graphs, to complement the text.
  3. Make sure the text and photos are formatted properly, so that your post looks attractive and appealing.

Hope this helps for now. Good luck, and Full Steem Ahead!

Thank you SO much for this comment. As I finished posting, I realized that I had done it wrong. I uploaded to Dtube and included all the text in the description box (as you would in Youtube) then I thought, I would have the chance to come to Steemit and tailor my post, but it turns out that it posted automatically, so I didn't get to include as much info as I wanted.

I will keep this in mind for my next video (which i will upload today) and will try to be as thorough as possible :)

Congratulations @diegovista, this post is the second most rewarded post (based on pending payouts) in the last 12 hours written by a Dust account holder (accounts that hold between 0 and 0.01 Mega Vests). The total number of posts by Dust account holders during this period was 6167 and the total pending payments to posts in this category was $976.35. Leo eres un campeón! Muchas gracias por tu comentario y bienvenida. :) encantado de ser un nuevo miembro de esta comunidad.

I get message the 'format is not supported'

great video!
yes chinese and koreans like to intensely stare at anybody with a different skin color or someone who speaks a different language :)
dunno about other asians..

I have noticed 😂 even more when they're toting around huge cameras with shotgun microphones and stuff. I don't mind it to be honest, but do feel a bit awkward when it's more than 3 or 4 people staring. While filming this, there were at least 5 people waiting for the light to turn green and they were all staring at me lol

haha i can imagine. i'm korean myself so i don't get stared at, but i watch them do it in the subway. keep filming! i don't think anybody means any harm :)

Good to see you on here mate! Looking forward to 2018, steemit is the future.
The also just launched Dlive in beta today, worth looking at too.
so many opportunities

Jord, thanks a million for letting me know about Steemit. It's exciting man! Suddenly all my ideas revolve around dTube and steemit, Youtube comes in at 2nd place now. lol

Excite when you named your family VENEZUELA (I'm not part of your family) but as a Venezuelan I get excited when someone names us, God fulfill your wishes to travel the world.

Epaaa saludos!! Love to see that there are Venezuelans in Steemit already, so awesome! Thanks for your well wishes!

You seem to be really nice guy. I am looking forward to your next videos.

Thanks so much! I look forward to sharing more stuff soon.

Dtube > Youtube <3

Nice one Diego!
I am just curious...how do you support yourself when you travel around the world....do you work online or something?

Hello cryptonewbies! I am a graphic designer, my company is based in Texas and I deliver my services via e-mail or dropbox. As long as I have an internet connection, I can earn a paycheck, which I use to further my travels :)

Yes I thought you would be doing something online. Awesome stuff!
Just out of curiosity...do you travel alone?

I ask because I would love to do something similar but not sure I could handle doing it alone.

You don't have to be alone. Plenty of digital nomad communities all around the world!

Hey Diego! Welcome man. Do you bring your family with you on all your travels?

Hello, and thank you :)

I only travel with my wife, so in a way, yes, I travel with my family but not all of it....

Thank you Tess! :) I have been fortunate enough to see the world, and there's not a day that goes by without me feeling grateful. That's why I share videos and photos!

This is an amazing video of Petra. Thank you for sharing. I have always wondered if Jesus spent time at Petra. It is great to see it in your video. Blessings for safe travels!

Hi @diegovista from @greenroom in RI USA.. I love the idea of traveling the world and is something I really look forward to doing so I’ll be glad to see you on my feed. Contact me here when you visit my city!

Welcome to Steemit, Diego. Glad to have you online. I enjoyed watching the video. Nice introduction post. Keep Steeming On!

Welcome Diego - great to see another world traveler who's discovered Steemit :-) Hong Kong is awesome - Upvoted!

Thank you Marcus! it's an incredible platform, isn't it? I think IG and YT could be well out of business after dTube hits the spotlight.

Hello Diego,

Let me know if you come to India. I will be glad to meet an avid traveller. I am active member of couchsurfing in Mumbai.

Welcome to Steemit Hermano!!!!!! Hope you enjoy it as much as I have!!!!! Welcome to the coolest Crypto Community!!!!! Looking forward to your vlogs....by the way nice camera quality. What kind of camera do you use?

Damn man, I really should check my comments on every post more often. Thank you for the warm welcome compadre! I enjoy your videos very much. I use a Canon 70D with a 10-18mm lens. It's a bit of overkill, but it gets the job done! If you're looking to up the quality of your vlogs, I recommend getting a small Lumix LX10, it's much cheaper and easy to put in your pocket.

Wow okay cool... I actually just bought a Cannon Rebel T5 and I spent $300. It came with two lenses but I ambregretting it a bit because I am limited on what I can do with it. No AF....lol...no wifi...but I will look into the LX10

No auto focus? I just looked into real quick, and it seems that it's the lens that's the problem. The T5 should definitely be able to auto focus, you might just have lenses that don't have that feature. I don't own a T5 but I did have a T3i a while back, and even though it was a starter camera, it allowed me to make great vids man.

Message me on discord...my sn is mrsanchez

Bet! I will add you there.

Diego, welcome from Colombia. Dope hat!

Patricio!! thank you brother!! Saludos!
