I'm excited to share some great news about @APPICS today.
After working on this project for over a year, we have now announced to start our Pre Sale on December 26.
This way, early investors will get the opportunity to buy tokens with an exclusive 20% discount.
To secure the exclusive pre-sale discount, a minimum investment of $10k is required. A few weeks after the Pre-Sale, our main ICO will start where anyone can invest.
We are excited to begin with our Pre-Sale and ICO soon, and can't wait for APPICS to be released!

What is APPICS?
APPICS is a mobile social media application and one of the first SMTs (SmartMediaTokens) that run on top of the STEEM Blockchain.
Similar to Steemit, users earn rewards in form of cryptocurrency by creating and curating content. But in contrast to Steemit, APPICS is a mobile application that focuses on instant sharing and fast consuming of visual content like pictures and videos, as seen on one of the fastest growing social media applications in the world, Instagram. APPICS targets mainstream social media users who spend countless hours on centralized platforms and yet struggle to monetize their brand - whether those are Influencers who don’t receive a fair share for the value they bring to the platform, or even users without a large following who have never experienced any form of monetization.
APPICS aims at introducing the mainstream world to the benefits of Blockchain technology.
APPICS Investment Info
The APPICS Pre Sale will be a unique opportunity for parties looking to invest $10k or more. It will go on for 4 weeks.
Since the SMT technology is still under development, we will be using ERC20 tokens for the crowdsale which will later be converted to APPICS tokens (XAP).
In January, our main ICO will then start and run for 4 weeks where everyone will be able to invest.
Detailed ICO infos, token distribution and -allocation and further specifics will be released soon.
APPICS Bounty Program
In addition to the pre-sale, we will also be launching a Bounty Program.
With this program, everyone will get the opportunity to earn free XAP tokens in return for spreading the word about APPICS.
There will be several tasks for the bounty program, for example:
- Posting about APPICS on Social Media like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Reddit ...
- Posting about APPICS on bitcointalk
- Posting about APPICS on Telegram
- Sharing a video about APPICS on YouTube
- Write an article about APPICS
- Translate APPICS texts like website, whitepaper and articles
If you want to reserve a certain language for translation, you can contact us already.
The article bounty will also be a great opportunity for Steemit users to earn XAP.

Q1: Will people be able to contribute with STEEM/SBD or just the standard ETH/BTC that most ICOs do?
Q2: Can you give us token details yet (max supply, inflation rate, etc)?
Q3: As the first Smart Media Token, do you have any concerns about the risk to investors launching within an untested environment?
Q4: Do you have thoughts to share on the role of SMT Oracles within Appics? I wasn't clear on that within the white paper as the technical details see to, at this point, point mainly to the STEEM and SMT white papers. As a tech-guy, the technology of a token is what I focus on first. :)
Q5: Do you have legal counsel involved with the ICO plans and will U.S. citizens be able to participate?
Hey Luke, thanks for your questions!
Since we're a SMT we want the steemit community to participate effortlessly, which is why we will accept Steem in addition to the regular btc and eth. We will also accept other altcoins like LTC, bitcoin cash and more.
There will be 240million XAP tokens.
APPICS has additional streams of income.. Steemit relies on investors and the inflation while appics has an intregrated shop system with an influencer based marketing system.
That way the inflation will be kept low.
I don't think it's an untested environment. Since Steemit already has a known and proven concept, the steemit users are already familiar with it and new users will adapt.
We work closely with Steemit Inc and have marketing experience, we are in contact with the influencers, have a lot of experience in the IT sector, and our team is growing and improving constantly.
We don't have anything to do with SMT Oracles until now. As the technology develops, we might integrate it with APPICS in the future.
Yes, our legal consultant is working on a solution to accept US citizen, by confirming that we're not a security.

Wow. Love this. I am a photographer with 80k followers on other platforms (mostly Instagram) and looking for alternatives. Just new to steemit but this seems so much more streamlined if it comes together how you are presenting it. When do you expect an Alpha or Beta app?
