Maybe it’s because I bought an inversion table but honestly with the way things are going, it feels like things took a complete 180 degree turn!

If big companies adopt their own SMT's than it doesn't matter that they steal users because they already have more and would probably make the price of Steem explode when they do their ICO's which are build-in the SMT creation. Some of the funds would be frozen in Steem which would be incredibly good. But I really don't think that big social medias will do that. They will try to ignore it until it is too late.

I'm curious, why do you think people will move away from Steemit if FB and Instagram might create their own reward system for users? I know these platforms have far, far more users than Steemit, but, even as a newbie minnow, it feels like the community here is pretty strong—I don't think anyone would leave entirely? Not the whales at least. Although, I guess time will tell if FB/Insta and other platforms can somehow improve on this system? Very exciting times!
I really don't know! It's all speculation at this point! But think about it..
If Facebook, Tumblr, and Instagram make their own coin reward system, where are you more likely to make money?

Facebook is so oversaturated with crap content though, I feel like people who crave something of substance are starting to see that, and if they start using a reward system, it will only increase the level of low-quality posts (by attracting people who just repurpose other people's successful posts). If I had a dollar for how many sponsored posts are pyramid schemes and coaching packages sold to me every hour—posts that literally parrot the same shit the other post said about "secrets to success"—I would be able to buy a penthouse in Soho.
I'm thinking, maybe people will continue to use and popularize Steemit over established platforms like Facebook, simply because people are getting bored of that shit. Well, I know I am.
Theres been soooooo many people alleviated by back problems from fused discs to scoliosis by this simple invention just using simple gravity as its main tool. It's amazing!
