RE: Racist (Pardoned) Sheriff Joe Arpaio is Running for Senate

in #dtube7 years ago (edited)

Curious question for you @bigtom13: If Arizona is a majority Hispanic State as you say; then how can your 6th generation American friends be so certain that they are being profiled because of their ethnicity? Logically speaking, the majority of people that cops pull over should have everything to do with the prevailing ethnicity of the population. If I'm white and I live in a small town where their are only 5% black people, and the local sheriff is black, and he pulls me over should I then be able to use his police record as proof that he's profiling white people, and somehow bigoted against white people? Or, is he just doing his job and the prevailing population just so happens to be white?

Sort:

Because the first question is not "Do you know why I stopped you?" Or "license and registration please" but "Let me see your Green Card". Simple.

Well, if that was me: I'd reply to him in my best deadpan American accent: "Show me your purse". Then I'd sit quiet and wait for him to rephrase the question.

If he showed me his purse, and I liked it. I'd probably compliment it. Hell, I'd probably compliment it even if I didn't.
