Awesome :)

I've been in Ketosis for almost 4 years about 85% of the time. My main reason was obviously to reduce insulin injections.

I actually love adding carbs to my diet and obviously because I grew up on potatoes in Europe :D but the interesting thing happened was:

When I'm fully ketosis and didn't eat any complex carbs (only from veggies like greens, broccoli) my sugar is very stable and it will linger about 100-120 which is normal range. So I started adding carbs like a sweet potato, oats, or buckwheat every 3-5 days in portions of 50-75 grams.

From that little "supplementation" of carbs my sugar was actually lower for upcoming days I would say it would range about 80-100. (Most importantly my muscles were full :)

My theory is maybe because I train a lot, exposing my self to different types of stress I utilized them very well or because of how I was raised as well, growing up in Lithuania it was a starchy diet.

This is where my argument comes in as to why some people are better off sticking to carbs, because of their microbiome and many other factors.

Ps. I was it Ketoacidosis before I got diagnosed and it SUCKED! Worst feeling ever.

Maaan I know u got plenty more knowledge on the topic seeing your years of experience! A real pro at this :) full knowledge of your own body :) Glad to hear you are able to stay full with no carbs, it can be quite hard. We should make that collab that we talked about, maybe you could record a small vid and I incorporate in in my vlog somehow :) hit me up on discord man

On point G, I followed a strict ketogenic diet for about a year and still occasionally dip back into ketosis for short periods of time. Keto diets have many interesting applications and it's great to hear an accurate breakdown of ketosis:)

Thanks man glad you enjoyed the video :)

I love it....

Thanks :) @dtubefitness to the sky

Great explanation of ketones and ketosis. The whiteboard really helps make it easier to understand. Thumbs up!

Noob question. It's just now that I'm coming across your videos. How to achieve both having ketone and carbs? Or how can we balance both?

Ketones are produced since you don't eat carbohydrates, the body starts oxidising fat for energy :)

So does it mean we need to eat less carbo?

basically ketosis is a state where the body uses fat for energy instead of carbs, it's optimal for losing weight as the body will use stored fat (like the belly fat and so on). If you want to followa ketogenic diet then yes you need to eliminate all starchy carbs and limit yourself to like 50g of carbs coming from fruit and vegetables only. you can still lose weight and fat following a normal diet with carbs as well. it's up to which diet you decide to follow :)

It is tough to eliminate carbs hehe. I will try keto diet but gradually and see. Thanks for getting back to my queries.

Glad to help :) @dtubefitness life
