I draw roofs on different paper. Markers or apencils?

in #elegance6 years ago

Recently I have passed 3 different drawing techniques: a large course on sketching of the roofs and two master classes for various drawing techniques. So today I decided to combine all my knowledge and doubts in one post.
I paint the roof of one of the buildings in Moscow courtyards. The first option - marker paper and alcohol markers. The second option is pencils and kraft. Why three courses? From the third my sketches got the topic)) I do not know yet how to switch myself to something else, but I think that eventually I will succeed))
So, the first picture is drawn with alcohol markers on marker paper. I start with a linear sketch and gradually add color. I do not try to make a roof in the technique of realism, but I just pass the main points and shadows.

In the second picture, the technique is approximately the same. I paint the roof with a liner, and then I add colored pencils.

I went to draw with my friend, so we got three sketches for two)) The building and the roof are the same, but the sketches are different. We look at things in different ways, although we are at the same point and at the same time.

I'm trying to decide which direction to develop more. To paint with alcohol markers or pencils on the Kraft? What do you think?

Hey @amalinavia, this has got to be the most original idea I've seen in a long while.
