Custom made EOS Bomber Jacket

I made this EOS - Nicole Scherzinger bomber jacket (all from scratch). I used my own body measurements. I watched a videoclip at Youtube of Nicole Scherzinger. The song/video is called: Boomerang. When I saw the bomber jacket she was wearing, I wanted to make it :-). I don't know where she bought it. You have to watch it a bit longer and you will see the bomber jacket she is wearing in this vid.

My mother in law gave me once a roll of checked tweed fabric. She got that for free from a friend in Germany. I am not really a fan of tweed, especially not checked tweed! But I gave it a try after getting inspired by Nicole Scherzinger- Boomerang videoclip :-).
I bought a zipper, a bag of small white beads and ordered black faux leather for the sleeves, waist and and collar. I did not read the small letters on their website saying they are on holiday till 13th of August..... I ordered 2,5 weeks ago!

This is my first time beading on fabric, so please forgive me for the flaws :-). It took me 3 hours beading the beads on the fabric. I was shocked when I looked at the time: 01.30 AM already! Either I am slow, or it just takes a lot of time to bead. But for sure I need to learn and practice more. Practice makes perfect they always say.

I made sure the stripes will be in line with each side

Here you also see, under the sleeves they are nice in line.

Day 1: Drawing patterns and cutting fabric

Day one was measuring and making the patterns from scratch and cut on the tweed checked fabric. I never use ready patterns, they are too big anyway :-D.

I wanted raglan sleeves, so I changed the normal sleeves into raglan sleeves.

If you don't know what raglan sleeves are:

After I made the patterns, I washed the fabric first. I cut 2 meters of the fabric and washed it cold. After that I let it dry. Then I ironed it. You know with wool, they can shrink in the washing machine and also when you iron for the first time, it can shrink.

Now it's time to cut it on the fabric. I wanted to check if the sleeves were good made, So that's why I cut the sleeves from the tweed fabric as a model. I had to wait anyway 2,5 weeks for the faux leather.

Day 2: Beading EOS logo

So I googled for the EOS logo and printed it out the size I wanted. Then I took a piece of tracing paper and took over the logo. Pinned it on the back fabric. Then I sew the lines with my sewing machine, removed the tracing paper and attached the beads on the fabric using an embroidery ring( that I bought once and never use).

Day 3: cutting and sewing the lining. After that, waiting another 2 weeks for my faux leather to arrive

Day 4: cutting sleeves, collar and waistband on faux leather. Sewing the sleeves and waistband

Sewing faux leather was a pain in the ^ss! You have to be careful not damaging the leather since it is a non-woven material. So I had to be a snail, being afraid I perforate the leather.

Thank you for the kind words :-).

You're very talented @faith-shihab! Great work on the jacket and the post!

Love, love, love it!

Very impressive project. For me it is hard to believe, how one person can actually design and make such a complex piece of clothing. Incredible!

Thanks @reinhard-schmidt :-). From the pictures you can see that I did all the work myself. I also went to fashion school in the past. Making a bomber jacket is actually one of the easiest clothing. Just the eos beading and working with faux leather is making it more challenging. Thanks for reading :-).

Phew.. sure doesn't look easy to me. But I guess it depends on one's level of skill and the right amount of devotion. I compliment you for this really interesting insight.

Very nice jacket , and I'm impressed you didn't spend so much money on the material but the product looks very expensive! So how about EOS, is it the logo you like or Have you invested in this crypto?

Yes, i always try to find materials that are affordable/cheap but still can make something beautiful out of it. My husband invested in eos. I just the logo :-). Maybe one day i'll invest too

I heard many promising things about its probably an excellent time to buy now before it becomes mainstream !

Yeah, my husband told me too. I pay my bills with steemit money :-). So, i have to wait when i have money left for eos. Are you investing in eos?

Not at the moment, I have some bitcoin, but except for bitcoin this would be a coin i think would be a good investment!

That Looks too good loved the Design you are amazing dear :D

Thank you @blazing :-). Enjoy your Sunday

I want custom eos
@fathin-shihab

Thanks, glad you've seen my design!

Wow! That's so awesome. Great work, looks amazing

Thanks a lot @jeffjagoe! :-)

No problem! Do you sell your work?

Currently not. But there are nice people like you saying I should :-). Im just afraid the shipping goes wrong. I have to check out the safest way. And also, the further the destination the more expensive the shippingcosts will be.

This jacket you made from scratch is really impressive by all means. Great to read all about your detailed journey with the making of this jacket too. I think how you never found this similar jacket design for sale is cos many clothes that are designed for a music video are usually a one off made design. Then they usually give them away to raise funds for charity.

oh, I did not know that. now that make sense. That would be good if it would be for charity.

A lot of the people you see in the limelight like music stars, film actors, sports players they always get lots of free designer clothes sent to them all the time. I think with top designer clothing they don`t last as long as clothes that are cheaper for more everyday use. That is why you only see some famous people only wearing the same oufit design usually once. If they were to wear these designer promotion clothes everyday they would probably fall apart very quickly after wearing them so often in a short space of time. In London a lot of these designer promotion clothing are given to charity shops from these people in the limelight. What usually happens is the people who work in these charity shops get first choice pick of this designer clothes over the customer. I am sure these charity shop staff would be probably selling these clothes on eBay afterwards.

It's nice to be a music star/celebrity, free designer's clothes :-). But i dont want to be a celeb i think. All these camera's, paparazzi and online article about you as a celeb. Thank you for sharing your knowledge :-).

I`m sure they would get many freebies from lots of brands from clothing, mobile phones and many other things to help promote a brand at that time. In London I know a few people who are in signed or unsigned music bands. From the outside a lot of people look up to them especially their fans but once you get to know the real them from the inside you realise how weak and insecure they really are. Many people chase the famous limelight cos they feel empty from their insides. I just think those celebrities live like famous prisoners as they live in their big fancy houses behind the big wall and security gates. A lot of them cannot do what many of the average person can do without them gets hassled from the media or fans all the time. To me they are living in a prison with the door of their life shut closed too. I see all that fame and money is like a person getting plastic surgery. Once you have reached that level or when a person gets plastic surgery they realise it is not the outside that matters. It is all about what is happening from inside of you with your inner beauties. People must learn to read from what is happens inside of themselves first.

being famous/celebrity has indeed pro and cons. You always are expected to perform better and better from your fans or manager and looks play a big role. I am too scared to go under the knife, but it is also something I would not encourage people to do unless you had an accident and your face needs to be "repaired".

A lot of people do their best to keep themselves in reasonable good health but there`s no escaping from the age and gravity. People just have to accept that we are going to grow old and become fragile like a baby again. Yes life is like a rollercoaster ride always packed with its high and low moments.

Wow it is very satisfying to watch learn how you start from the scratch and turned it into a beautiful jacket.

Yes, i like to show people how the process was... that its a long time process from scratch. :-)

It's always fun to read your poste. Keep going

Thank you @katy-adelson. You too keep going!

Im not sure what you mean with 1.3 dollar :-
