Are you the manager of your own diet and exercise? Or are you being led around by others who may or may not know you or have your best interests at heart?
One of the biggest upsets I got in weight loss was realizing that I was doing things I was told and believed were good for me, but instead they were not.
The only way I was able to take the bull by the horns and get healthy was by learning about what I was eating and going by trial an error to do and continue to do what worked for me. This was not an easy project to start with as I found so many things I thought were good ideas that really weren’t. Here are some of those:
- processed “diet” foods
- processed “diet” drinks
- “low fat” anything
- chemical flavors and colors.
On and on we go.
It turned out that I had to find the cleanest sources of food I liked, with the best nutrition I could find. So I had to learn what those things even were first. Then that healthy food became the major part of my diet over time. I had to be the manager. No one else could do it for me.
I did not need to change my diet overnight. Instead I had to make small changes one by one and keep going. In a few months after starting this process I was a whole new person who did not crave the old junk. This was the most shocking of all results and has continued to this day – eight years after losing the weight.
As to exercise? I had to become the manager of that too, but this will be for another time.

I lost "Half My Size" eight years ago by using natural methods. No tricks, just doing a bit better every day. I started on October 10 one year, and did not give up. Four years later, on October 5th, there I was - thin and healthy for the first time in my life. You can do it too!
