Way way behind on any engagement "in here" @newageinv, but taking a little time while finishing up my BNB transition (wrote my first post in several days about it this morning), to catch up a bit.
I did not know you and your family were impacted by those hurricanes. I have never been subject to that myself, as I have never lived in an area where they are found. That said, years ago I was on the East coast one when was approaching and all outbound flights were cancelled, i.e. we were going to have to "ride it out" ... At the last minute, it changed course and I was still able to fly home back out to Washington (state).
I'll never forget the pilot coming on a while later and asking us to look out our windows (I was reading, as usual ...). Down below, the remnants of the hurricane were rolling over West Virigina. I had been flying for years by that point in time, but I had never seen anything remotely close to the turmoil down below. I just remember being thankful we were flying over it all and thinking what an incredible force of nature these storms are.
Glad to hear you, your family, and your property are doing okay. I'm sure it left quite an impression. But ... You are still there! 😉
