I always keep faith no matter how bad things get because if I made it this far , God will guide me through every struggle . Some people over time loose faith which is the worst thing ever because once u turn from faith , going back and believing is very difficult
i think crypto in 2018 will be bigger than ever and it will be best year ever for all of us! We have same winds ,but not all doing new sails and do drastically changes , quite good video for motivation before 2018

I want to thank you for posting this. After seeing the "flag" war that occurred this week, it is easy to get discouraged with what is going on here. We need to remain true to our reason for being here. This blockchain is going to be one of the forces changing the world. STEEM will be absolutely incredible for people. Even a little bit of SP, in my opinion, will be valuable.
Nothing happens without adversity. That simply is a part of life. In the pursuit of any goal, things ebbs and flow.
Whatever the term or the significance of it to the individual, the bottom line is progressing forward with an idea while not knowing how things will turn out yet expecting it to be positive.
For those with religious or spiritual leanings, this time of year has special meaning. However, even for those without, it is a good time for reflection upon how we are now compared to what we would like to be. For those of us dedicated to steemit, how can we uplift our behavior on here to make this place special. Recreating Facebook Part 2 isnt in our best interest. Blockchain is creating a new paradigm freeing people from the tyranny of the banking system. Because of that, I feel, it is up to us to break ourselves free of the mindset the banksters and their minnions (media, advertisers, educational system, etc) instill in us.

A flag is locate to the right of each post. When you flag a post, you are essentially downvoting that post. Hence, the person loses whatever your vote is worth in reward.
People get into battles and it goes back and forth, with others joining in on each side. Hence the term war applied to it.
It is nasty and like all wars, in the end, nobody really wins.
A tough lesson for me but I am learning to avoid them. To truly take this place to the level it needs to go, we need to see a move uplifting behavior. Steemit success is based upon helping others, not oneself.
While I was reading what you wrote about faith, I was thinking faith is what you do. Then the first words on the video confirmed, faith is what you do, not what happens to you.
Looking forward to seeing more on this topic. Personal growth is always a good topic to chew on and apply to your life.

I really enjoy your message, and the references you use to further your discussion. It's also full of positivity and encouragement for a new-born community, but I'd just like to land my criticism and attention on your use of the word "Faith", while discussing the power of self, similar to the law of attraction.
In my opinion, Faith is a word that should be kept for Religious matters. Subjects where one needs to tell you about for you to believe. "Faith" is believing because told, and not because of an internal discovery or advancement.
Thus, looking at your tags, I don't believe Faith and Philosophy can be used to describe a one and same thing, as Faith is believing when told, whereas Philosophy is questioning everything.

well @cryptocoopus, It's important to question what you believe so that you can know whether or not you really believe it. In fact, faith is often born out of questions and also God delights in answering the prayer of faith.

Wao had never read of Jim Ronh See video made me think a lot and I encourage that I can succeed and that we can help others also have successes in their dreams and we have the beautiful platform of Steemit to be successful, creating winners making a difference. I feel like a winner, I am a winner we go with all course to success with Steemit.
Jim Rohn is awesome. One of the best in personal development. What I learned is that you have to take responsibility for your life and than take massive action to improve it.
My first weeks on steemit was not easy at all. You might spend 2 hours researching and after posting you get $0.02. It was frustrating at first until I got inspired by my mentors and today any of my post earns at least @1.50.
I kept my faith strong and it still keeps me going.
The same challenges and opportunity hit us but the difference is our philosophy, we must change our philosophy to make a change.
In 2018, faith will be needed, faith should be added to our philosophy for the year, with this success is sure.
This is something I figured out long ago. I know it to be true.
The problem with me is that I go through long periods without tending the sails at all.
I'm getting better. The last five years of my life have seen more positive change than ever before, but I have a long way to go.
This is another reason I'm thankful for Steem. It gives me hope. I am more excited about Steem than I have been about anything in years. And that excitement is spreading to other aspects of my life.
The hope I have felt since I started here has changed how I think of things. I am more positive.
In truth it couldn't have happened at a better time. With the recent death of my mother I was in a dark place. In truth I still very much am. Without the hope and focus that Steem has given me I don't know where I would be.
I see people who are working on something great.
I see a light at the end of the tunnel.
I have a reason to keep tending the sails.

How can i make my life better, 16 years ago, i have set myself to be a successful person, years by years the goal is nearing but never achieved, but faith i would have, to cross this journey, which i know one day i would be there, on success platform.
That day i shall think about the entire journey, smile and thank God for whom He have made me become.. But even that moment i shall realize im just renting the success from Him for a fraction of moment, and that is not entirely belongs to me..

Back in 2011 I join Facebook and starting earning online as a freelancer. After spending almost 7 years on different channels of Social Media. I earned good money from there. In July, 2017 I came to know about steemit and believe me in November, 2017 I left everything and fully focused on steemit. This is so awesome platform that even one can earn money by commenting.

You can not connect the points of your destiny, if you look forward, you can connect them only in retrospect. So we must believe that these points somehow, yes, they will unite in the future. You have to believe in something - in your courage, destiny, karma, whatever. This principle has never failed me and changed my whole life

Yup, we cannot change our external circumstances like what Jim Rohn said. The only thing we can change is ourselves. However, change is always hard. Nevertheless, one tiny incremental action every day can result in a huge change in 2 or 3 years time. Awesome post!
Very right, in fact I believe in faith but not too much, what I believe is your attitude towards life, something happening in life can be tackled with a smile or by lying hand on the head and crying in front of all.
And the 2nd important aspect is its always going to be good, what's happening is good, the best part to live happily is seeing you good times, the memories let us lay down all the pain.

Two things are key in achieving one's set goals and these are FOCUS and PERSISTENCE. We need these two tools to live our day to day life. We all have ups and downs in 2017 but that should not halt our plans and goals we must persist and focus. Most steemians stopped creating contents on their blogs when they get little or no upvotes/comments on their blogs in the first few months - they could not persist, hence, they lost focus.This is my second month here in steemit and i'd admit that it has not been rosy but im focused. I have a goal and im going to achieve it. No going back, As we approach 2018, we should start anew and in style. Thanks for sharing the video, it is worthy of reflection. #OWB

I so much love this Bible passage, anytime I am passing through a difficult time and I need to overcome I just let that passage flood my mind so I stop thinking about other things, I then focus and believe things would work out for good, just a little faith can move mountains and therefore I encourage you all to just have faith no matter the situation you find yourself.

I can't imagine someone living a life without any epitome of faith, when we do not have faith our lives is not complete and we will be so disturbed by the things around us, but when we trust and believe in our maker God and have just a little faith things will work out for good.

Why I like the second quote more? The second part is the same in both quotes, but the first part isn't. "The same wind blows on us" - I can't agree with this, we do have many different winds (starting points, positive and negative events in our lives) in the world. "See how the current goes in your river" - you are where you are, accept that, and do the best you can in a given situation! Aaand hope, don't despair, as you well pointed out!
