Wardrobe Tour - Transitioning From Summer To Autumn (Before And After Photos)

in #fashion7 years ago

I finally did it! With A few colder days we had recently I felt the need to pack most of my summer clothes and pull out some warmer peaces.

Even though we still have hot days, mornings and evening definitely got colder. For me, this is the worst part of the year in terms of clothing because weather changes all the time and it feels like you can experience all four seasons in a short period of time so you have to be prepared.

In one part of my closet, I like to organize my clothes for the current season. This includes my tops, bottom, dresses and outerwear. Everything else that is out of season, my lounge wear and more of a occasional wear, like dressier clothes that I don't wear on daily basis is in another part of the closet. This way my clothes are separated but still easily accessible if I need it.

BEFORE - SUMMER

AFTER - AUTUMN

Hanging - t-shirts, long sleeve top and jackets (as we go deeper into autumn, I will start adding warmer tops and jackets)

Folded - more short sleeve and 3/4 sleeve tops on the left, thicker tops in the middle and bottoms on the right

OUT OF SEASON, LOUNGE AND OCCASIONAL WEAR

Here on top I have my summer clothes and the bottom is beach towels, winter sweaters and my favorite autumn jacket

And finally, these are my coats and winter jackets

In the past year or two I got rid off a lot of clothes. The process of minimizing my wardrobe is still not done. I feel like I can declutter more so I can only keep the pieces that I truly love to wear, I feel good at, that are comfortable and match my style.

I hope you found this post interesting and maybe it will inspire you to go through your clothes! :)

The seasonal clothing closet change over is one of my least favorite things to do. Probably because I have to do it for 5 kids and it usually involves a size change or two in the mix. Box clothes up to store for the next kid in line, donate, etc. We recently moved to Panama where the weather is the same year round, so we won't have a seasonal clothing change which I'm looking forward to. Looks like you did a great job on your organization! Nice post!

Oh, I wish I could come over and help you with it because I really enjoy it, even though this one from summer to autumn can be quite tricky.
I can imagine it's not easy at all doing it for 5 kids! But at least you don't have to do it now. :)
Thank you for your kind words!

So goodbye summer! :(((

Until next year! :)

Wow! You are really organized. I hate making the seasonal switch. I still have sweaters that were left in my closet from last winter.

note to self - make sure ALL laundry is done before hand lol

Thank you!
I am a very messy person, to be honest, but getting rid off unnecessary clothes really helped me organize my closet. It still gets messy sometimes but it's not a disaster as it used to be. :D
Thank you for your comment!
