Ongoing Stories. Each day I will begin with a paragraph from the previous freewrite for continuity. This is the sixth freewrite in my experiment to see if I can create an ongoing story from the prompts each day. The general premise of the story was inspired by a comment I left at @freewritehouse competition post

Fly me to the moon, let me play among the stars
Weather wise it's such a lovely day Just say the words, and we'll beat the birds Down to Acapulco bay

The Hermit’s song echoed across the cosmos as the tide gathered silver and ate up the beach, slinking towards the Sinatra crab.

Down to Acapulco bay

“I think I’m still tripping.”

My words slurred outwards to merge with the music and I felt a liquid shiver of pleasure down my back. I looked at Isabella, her hand resting tenderly on my neck.

“So you do remember.”

The breath of slipstream dreams cushioned wings as the horizon dipped with the dive. The darkening ocean rushing in a pattern of glittering red pin-pricks, a still expression of motion. A dappled carpet of endless sea.

I banked to the right, an itching knowing of the air through each gossamer feather's strand teased me as a strip of dull silver elongated from my periphery into plain sight. The towers of man hove into view in the night, shadows with tiny golden eyes, glaring mans tamed sunlight to blind me.

I plummeted; break-neck, pressure in sinuses as the ground reared at me in a spinning kaleidoscope of light. Tiny figures merged from the deepening twilight, wandering here and there among the dark scavengers field. Dimly perceived as the sunset slaked its thirst, and then satiated, returned to the earth.

I flinched instinctively as the seagull bombed over our heads, screeching as it alighted on the trash can. Its feathers fluttered in the warm breeze as Isabella nestled under my arm shivering slightly.

"What happened, baby?" She squeezed me tighter toward her side. "You lost your balance for a second then."

I was flying, and then I could see the seagull landing on the trash can. Thanks for this "moving" experience and the poetic expression of the bird in flight.

Hi wordymouth. I'm glad it put you in the mind of the seagull flying above the bay. I hoped that it conveyed that feeling without getting too esoteric lol. I'm glad to hear that it came across well :-) thanks for reading

Oh, you have to read all of them for the author reading!!!
https://steemit.com/freewrite/@freewritehouse/time-for-some-author-readings

You read my mind @mariannewest. I had a look at freewrite house late last night and was too tired to comment lol... But I thought to myself, this looks like a perfect reason to present all of the series so far in one continuous stream-of-conciousness. Expect something a bit special, I am going to throw everything I've got at it creatively, using editing etc, to try and make it as surreal as possible :-)

sounds great!!!! and if you are using all original sounds, please save it as a mp3 as well for the podcast..... (published music is a nono on the podcast - apple and others would not like that....) But now worries if you have certain music in mind - go for it...

It might not be suitable as there is one thing used that could cause issues, but if you really like the reading I can take a previous edit and re-do it without the Sinatra in there. Have a watch and see what you think of it marianne and if you really want it for the podcast I'll modify it for you :-)

This is very well written!

Ahhh thanks @deeanndmathews

I have always been really good at coming up with unique imagery, it is the poet in me 🙂

You are doing a great job of creating a continuing story from the prompts. Thanks for sharing on ListNerds.
