Howdy Steemit

Thank you for popping in to check on my day #2 fitness journey log. Today has been a bit of a tough one as I have been battling through the dreaded “Keto Flu!”. Haha, for those who don’t know its really just carb withdrawals. I endured the torture at work as everyone was trying to pawn off the rest of their holiday baked good. I was a good boy though.
I woke up feeling pretty sore from the workout from the day before. Though that is pretty normal. I did some light stretching but was running late so I had to zip out the door. I was doing pretty good until about 10 am and that is when the cravings and fatigue set in. I find I am usually like this for a solid three to four days but I do bounce back fairly quick. With all that said though I weighed in at 229.3 pounds, so the scale is moving. Its all water weight most likely but hey ill take it!

Well here is the break down for the day:

Food for The Day

I kept it pretty much the same. We prepped a bunch of this Mississippi pot roast, which is amazing on the keto diet and just all round delicious. I have been struggling to hit my calories as I haven’t really been hungry. Its as if my body is rejecting all food right now. It’s a strange thing. But here is a screen cap of what I ate.

My Workout for the Day

I was feeling pretty sore today so I just did 40 minutes on the bike and ended everything with some yoga stretching. I decided this week I am not going to be so strict with everything but just make sure I do something. I think tomorrow though I will be hitting the heavy bag to get back into the flow of things. I really want to test myself and see just where my cardio is and I find the heavy bag is a great way to put that to the test.

I did manage to sneak a bit of a walk in on my lunch break. Again, here and there I do try and sneak a fit of activity in. I find it's not the easiest but here are some stats on the walk:

The walk was nothing major but something to get the heart rate up. Below though is the workout. I did manage to get a good sweat going, nothing major. Tomorrow though I am going to put myself through the gauntlet and really push myself. Well anyways here is the stats for my workout:

Sleep Stats

Here is something else I thought I would include because rest is very important not just for weight loss but just all-around health in general. I had a horrible sleep last night as I was up thinking about how to deal with my video setup. Haha, I know its silly but I have really been enjoying doing my vlogs and want to really improve my set up. Anyways, here is my sleep stats for the night.

Keep it up man (: can't believe you could resist all the home-baked goods... those are my weaknesses! I like the approach that you take regarding your weight-loss - structured and realistic. Definitely rooting for you (: The sleep info is interesting too haha

Thank you! Yeah, it was hard! Just pushing through and trying to resist the best I can. I really appreciate the support!

Keep it up man! I'm losing weight too! ^_^

Thank you! I really appreciate the support. Thats great to hear! Keep at it, keep grinding and success will come your way!

Keep up the work! I haven't looked at your other posts as I've just stumbled upon this one so I don't quite know what your goals; however, I think you should definitely up your protein intake to something over 100g. Personally, I do at least 140. This helps you maintain muscle while you're losing weight and helps you become leaner. Either way, I'm really interested in following you on your journey. Definitely following!
