Tired? Get Exercising!
What a week it's been already. I'm launching a new program in the gym very soon so work is getting insane. On top of this, I had an endless stream of new people walking in to the gym today. It was a nice problem to deal with.
To make matters more challenging though, I haven't had much sleep this week. So I am feeling extremely fatigued.
So what's the best way to deal with fatigue with you're not in a position to have nap?
Personally, I find exercise to be the best solution.
Exercise releases all the right endorphins to get you feeling energised and refreshed for a decent period of time. Sure, you'll crash hard within a few hours. But if all you need is to keep going for a couple more hours, then having a quick exercise session is a fantastic solution.
And there's even research to back this up. What's more, while I was working in the mining industry, we provided some of our night shift workers with exercise equipment for use if they were feeling fatigued. The night shift workers used the equipment often and commented regularly how helpful they found it.
So that's what I did tonight. I trained for an hour, and it was just enough to get me through the rest of my evening. And while I was meant to be doing a boxing session, the weight training session I did was just as beneficial and fun.
Now I am truly exhausted, so off to bed I go.

Yes, I find that if I start drifting off in the afternoon, I just need to get up and start doing stuff, although the first two seconds of getting up is so incredibly painful!
I'm dealing that feeling right now funnily enough. Steemit is such a happy distraction from normal daily life. :P
Yes it works for me too! And it definitely helps me sleep much better afterwards ! :)
Fantastic. I slept like a log last night. :)
@mazzle for me when I do evening exercises I get very tired. But next morning I wake up refreshed.
So am wondering the type of equipment you gave those night shift.
Otherwise thanks for sharing this helpful info ℹ
Thanks mate. We mostly gave them exercise bikes and treadmills which seemed to be enough to keep them happy. Occasionally we gave them other gear but that was mostly what they wanted.
Great job! Putting in that work to reach your goals! :)
Thanks :)
When I had sleeping troubles, I kept visiting doctors and one of them told me that I should run for several lapses around the house before going to bed...I tried it once and became a total corpse in the bed. SO IT WORKS! Too bad I am too lazy for that...
Haha. It can be really effective. Give it another go!
I wish I could but I have other things to do before going to bed, like pointless scrolling on my phone, eating a shitload of ice-cream and generally wasting my time...:D
Glad to see you have your priorities straight. :D
Very cool!
Nice post bro 👍🔥
