I post about inspiring quotes and spent a lot of time making the images in photoshop and finding appropriate quotes.
Every quote I post is different and i only make 5/6 posts daily.
I've been here for more than 1 year and i invested more than 4000$ in this project...yes, i was one of the stupids ones that bought steem at around 6$.
I brought many friends over and commented on a lot of posts, but it seems now my account is considered spam even if all the quotes i use are different and i make different pictures in photoshop for it.
If its because of the use of bidbots, i'm using only sneaky-ninja and upvoting posts at around 3 days age (when it would be possible if i wanted to upvote at 6 days and make a lot of rewards). Some times i gain more than I bid, other times the reverse happens, but its a risk i take so my quotes become more visible.
My purpose was to achieve 5000 steem treshold by posting and buying steem and i already have a order at 0,20$ (didn't catch the 0,04$ order a few days ago in binance from a mass sell.
I've seen quite a few people complained they have been wrongfully accused and flagged and they simply powerdown and sold their steem and moved to whaleshares or other projects.
If i'm doing something wrong let me know why and the reason for being flagged...right now i cancelled my order on binance, started the full power down of my account and stopped promoting steem in my facebook channel.
I don't understand why my account is considered spam and posts like this are not: https://steemit.com/r26fcmher6vdsz34/@berniesanders/coming-soon
@ned powerdown and sold his steem...i tought he was crazy, but perhaps he was just seing into the future where this project is heading.
I can only guess. But maybe here is the answer. (quote above)
IMHO 6 times is a lot, 5-10 times (!) more than most of us do. And you are even fierce enough to use word "only"

Thank you for your opinion.
I tought there was no limit to the number of posts we could make in the blockchain and i didn't know its regarded bad, people that make more than one post.
Taking into consideration your opinion, i will change my posting habits and time spent on steem and only post once a day, and make it the quote of the day.
Nevertheless, i didn't like what happened and it would be better if before being considerated for flagging someone told me the reason why so i could understand why and solve it. This is not the way to make things and i have a few friends that stopped using steem because they were flagged and not even given a opportunity to understand why or reverse their actions.
Thank you for your opinion @onealfa
There is no any guaranty that what been said to you is exactly the reason of those flags. It is just one of your readers subjective opinion.
Indeed , there is no limit. (formal)
But posting 6 times a day is very close to be considered as spam. Especially if there is nothing authentic been created, just simple copy-paste quotes.
Which majority we have seen numerous times in the past anyway, during our life.
Posting your own long authentic stories, or personal, authentic photos, or videos 5-6 times a day would be much much more away from spam definition.
Simple one paragraph quotes are so much different from that.
Just my 2 cents....
Well noted. I would say pretty much the same, or similar
Thank you for your comment and opinion.
Upon consideration and several comments/opinions both here and in discord, i decided to only post once a day making it the daily quote and write about my life experience so that i can abide by communities standards.
Also i won't be using any kind of promotional services (bid bots).
Thank you
Looks like a very good decision. I wish you luck, sir.
You can do whatever you like on Steem, but any user is entitled to flag if they think the rewards are excessive. You say these posts take time to create, but they could be generated by a script. They get hardly any interaction, so what is their value? You need to build more of a following by talking to people and then let them support you with votes. Otherwise it just looks like you are milking rewards. Wouldn't you rather have real comments than just those from bots?
Hi @steevc
Thanks for writing. As i said above i decided to only post once a day making it the daily quote and write about my life experience so that i can abide by communities standards.
My posts are not generated by a script, i started by using canva.com to make the pictures with text and then i started using photoshop that was a lot easier.
Its true that i don't have much interaction, i used to have more before the advent of the RC limitations.
I actually don't feel like i'm milking rewards, the intention was to make my posts more visible, in fact most of the voting buying i make are in posts 3 days old and if you check sneaky-ninja stats you will see majority make between 0-15% profit but with the decay to 7 day old it should break even, but nevertheless i also state that i won't be using bidbots anymore.
When i saw the first flagging this morning, it felt like a punch in the stomach since i have been here since more than 1 year, invested more than 4000$ (i have a loss at the moment of around 3400$) and spent a real lot of time bringing friends to the platform. Unfortunately some were flagged and gave away on the platform, others saw that the rewards were very low and also gave away, other used actifit but also gave away and i stayed and trusted that the platform would prevail even when in this last weeks was all that controversy regarding STINC and possible fork and even then i believed that the chain had potential and was willing to invest but the good thing is that things happen for a reason. For example i wanted to invest in other DPOS called VIT that we could only buy in Cryptoptia, and in the 10th i sent transfer order of 2000$ to coinbase to buy bitcoin and later transfer to cryptoptia and buy VIT, but...my bank blocked the transfer to coinbase because the bank forbide transactions to bank accounts that are crypto related..i was angry at the bank and so i open another account in other bank, transfer money there and 2000$ to coinbase, when i was going to log in cryptoptia i saw the message that it was hacked, if the bank hadn't blocked the transfer in the beginning there was a high change i would have lost that money in cryptoptia. Then with the 2000$ i had in bitcoin in coinbase, i transfer it to binance and put a buy order at 0,20$ since i saw this post https://steemit.com/charlesfuchs/@stackin/steem-price-flash-crashed-to-04-cents-on-binance-wth and tought that price in a mass sell can go to that value.
Today i saw i received a lot of flags, and i immediately cancel that order, started powered down and stopped promotion of steem on my facebook group until i understood what is happening.
I must say for people that invested a lot and are willing to invest this is really scary and doesn't give much peace of mind knowing it might happen in the future. I told some of my friends that were no longer on steemit what happened and there reactions where "i told you it was a scam", "only founders are getting rich", "good thing i didn't invest", etc...
I still believe good can come from here, but i also believe much more has to be made in this platform, if community just wants 1, 2 or 3 posts every day then the blockchain should limit it, if bid bots are not a good thing, they should be forbiden and nobody can use them, self-votes also not allowed, etc...
So in conclusion "I WILL only post once a day or once every 2 days if people fell better, i will use a quote and write about its personal meaning to me" - I will start in the 1th February, because i need some days to cool down of this punch in the stomach and to re-evaluate my investments in crypto.
Thank you for all your comments and helping solve this situation.
I think you have to appreciate how your posts looked to others. There was little sign of human input and something like that could easily be automated. There are no rules, but if people see this they will form their own impressions and seeing those posts earning several dollars in rewards for what looked like little effort made us think they needed some adjustment.
We cannot stop people buying votes, but in many cases it seems to be purely to make a profit. I'm not sure how much attention it would get you anyway. Those posts were not going to get on trending and boosting several posts each day can seem greedy.
Some people take flags as a personal attack, but it is a valid form of curation. We want rewards to go to good content.
Those in the Steem Flag Rewards group are a tiny part of the Steem community, so you don't have to consider us representative. We just want this platform to be better than is currently is.
Maybe you need to consider what the audience is for what you do and seek them out. Do you think they will consider it to have enough value to give it votes? In my opinion less posts with higher quality may be a better path. Show that there is a person behind this.
We don't want to chase people away from Steem. If you want to create something then you are very welcome here, but I think it's best to work with the greater community. It's much more fun to get human interaction.
