Witches' Painted Nails, Lipstick Tips and Laced and Shelled Easter Eggs

in #flower7 years ago (edited)

Witches' painted nails are all I could think of when I first saw this. Which witches you asked? The classy ones that got to blend with the modern world.

b5.jpg

Well disguised, subtle and sweet but wicked when they don't get their whims. Witches ... with pretty painted nails ...

b5a.jpg

There are a lot of those kinds, some don't even wear their nails long anymore ...

to blend .. and be one with the world.

They also paint their lips with subtle and natural tones, soft pink but never with burnt bloody red.

b.jpg

Though they often smudge their lips with these tones, their lipstick tips remain ...

... perfect.

These, remind me of those painted and shelled easter eggs. It's becoming a fad here, some even have blings, lace and painted dried petals on them. So many hobbies .. witches, also do.

a1.jpg

Who would have thought there's so much of its kind. Available in small, medium and large. The only tone I missed was blue, must be hard to create but damn... they've already made a lot.

So much like the crypto world, so many cryptos and tokens released into the wild.

a2.jpg

Imagine walking in a path full of these and imagine them in full bloom. You'd probably be overwhelmed and when you see a certain exotic flower standing in the middle of them, no matter how pale, scentless nor simple that may look like, it'll stand out.

b4a.jpg

I only have one of these in my garden, a pink one. Still budding now and though its buds were already there since last year, it's still hasn't popped open. Sounds like some coins?

b4.jpg

The bush, it's supposed to even grow into a bushy bush right? Well, it's grown but not much. It would shoot its stem a few centimeters away and stay there. Must have been because I've moved it several times. It must have not liked its trips and the roots must have thought it's being "bonsaied". Sounds like a coin you know? Well, it's not that bad but can you imagine having just one crypto in your wallet? Would be such a risk and you'll probably get attached to it like I see some do. Am not any crypto expert but like these plants, they also seem to get to bloom in a certain time of the year. They go up and down like see saw with kids playing on them.

b3.jpg

Enough about crypto, I really want to just showcase these buds and even though I'm aware of what's it called, let me just ask you to chime what it's called in your country. We all know it may be called differently in different languages, so how about chiming what's it called in yours with a source? 1% up for those who'd do.

Lol.. I couldn't resist laughing when I saw your article at the postpromotion, I never knew witches got painted nails and lipstick etc. I'm happy I haven't wasted my time visiting your article. You've got great blog. Nice one!

What magical macros of Rhododendron!
I love it, but I can not put it because we are full South.
What magic in your garden, maybe hides fairies too!

oh really?
I thought it's warmer where you are :)

It must have shade for the rhododendron because otherwise it burns at home! And the land is too limestone.

Wow really awesome photographs! Your writing also appropriated for those photographs, pvoted! Have nice day, thanks to share.

Wow....wonderful photography, good nature, nice flower post, thanks..

Awesome Photography

Well Ivy, my fingers are so green that I even manage to make a cactus perish. So it would be really a miracle if I would know that name.

cacti sure die in here
fast and quick
most of the ones I got live 2 years max
the ones that are still surviving are now 4 to 5 years old
but I got those really really matured
they're quite high maintenance so it may not be just you

as for the plant
that's odd, they're a common sight in the whole Gelderland
so I suppose we're the ones crazy about them?

You sure know a lot about it.
I hardly know anything, obviously. I thought cacti grow by themselves without real maintenance needed. That's why my so called "green fingers" was for kidding and much better made for construction work etc.
Wish you a nice day.

not much really
just a bit of a few of them
mostly I got from a cactus oasis nearby
not really near but we often drive there in summer
beautiful place and very very educational

no the cacti needs proper care
though not much watering is required
light and soil is a big deal of a maintenance
specially with the change in season

they're more independent in the tropics and the dessert

Thanks Ivy. I'll keep that in mind for the moment my steem is worth enough to finally buy me that house in the tropics.

Beautiful photography post. I like your photography post. My favorite rose gold flower. Thanks for so much.

Quite unique in a way that I've never seen all of them before

I think we have them in Asia
but very expensive
and dwarfs :)

So called imported always means more money.

Interesting perspective, I wouldn't have seen them as witch's nails, but I can see it now. The top ones look like balloons not yet blown up. Beautiful buds, worthy of speculation.

ah yes .. balloons ..

I'm glad you shared what you see :) ..
thanks

Beautiful clicks these are so amazing to see that wonderful :)

wow really amazing photography. beautiful flower. wonderful gardening plane. thanks for @englishtchrivy

Hahaha..... This is a blow on witches, extremely funny; your shots are damn hot...... Thanks for sharing

Wonderful photography, wonderful flowers !

Beautiful pictures, it is like you are waiting for the moment when the flowers come up. This is the moment when people do not really pay much attention to them because they are not "ready" yet, it is like the shop is still closed, the moment when the flowers fully blooming everyone's eye caught by it. The first couple of pictures captures such a moment when the petals are wrinkly as they were folded and it is amazing how those sizeable petals could pass in small buds. You are right the red ones look like witches nails and I love that red color. I hope you are going to do more shots of those flowers to show us the process steps how the petals will be unfold themselves. I would like to see the moment when the are fully spread but you still see wrinkles like someone forget to iron them :)

exactly ...
they're mostly ignored when they're just budding
but the beauty of a flower is in its whole cycle of bloom :)

This is truly amazing shots and I absolutely love the colors. Wow is the word that first comes to mind 😊 what kind is it? Haven't seen them before I think. Thank you for sharing. Made my day. Cheers! 🌼🌹🌸

2 gardening folks got it right ;)

They are fullfilled by the humor, and observation skills of a real natural lady. She is born in nature and always living in with sanity. Even when she is just sitting in a hotel's lounge, I guess you can see it.

Hotel? No, not in this posting, of course. For making me smile and laughter you are rewarded again with the Jumpin' Frog Award. Congratulations, @englishtchrivy. Do not empty that gift basked within one day!

Wowww amazing flowers😍😍. I saw something similar in Thailand
IMG_20180413_124652.jpg

hi, no they're not the same
you could tell from the leaves, those of yours remind me of the Thai "ginger sort" flowers but the kind of rhizomes that are ornamental and not edible

Ohhh you are right,it's ginger i just googled 😁😂😂
