KOREA CUISINE: BBQ GOGI HOUSE

in #food28 days ago

I am a food blogger, I have always loved Korean BBQ. In many Korean dramas, we can see their BBQ and Soju culture.

Recently, I went to GoGi House - Le Van Luong, a famous Korean BBQ restaurant chain in Vietnam. The restaurant is located in a crowded area with many office buildings and other dining spots, but GoGi House stands out with its delicious flavors and attractive space.

Entering GoGi House, I immediately felt the cozy and comfortable atmosphere.. In GoGi, there is a large space with private rooms for couples.

For larger groups, there are long tables, while couples or families can choose more intimate seats near the window. The restaurant also has a modern ventilation system to help prevent food odors from sticking to diners' clothes.

Menu – Combo 289,000 VND /person (11.5 USD) includes what?

On this trip, I chose the combo 289,000 VND, a great choice for those who want to experience a variety of grilled meats and traditional Korean dishes without having to order separately.

  1. Grilled meat
GoGi House is famous for its fresh, premium imported meats.

Highlights include:

  • American beef ribs – The meat has a balance of lean meat and fat, creating a soft but slightly chewy texture. When grilled, the sound of the meat sizzling, the aroma is irresistible.

Grilled spicy pork belly – The pork belly has a rich flavor, juicy with a crunchy texture. The spicy marinade makes the meat more attractive.
Grilled pork ribs – Perfectly marinated and grilled, the ribs are still tender and flavorful.
The secret to creating an unforgettable grilling experience at GoGi House is the unique marinating technique. Each piece of meat is marinated in the sauce, each piece of meat is sweet but still has a natural meaty taste.

Korean BBQ is not complete without banchan (side dishes), and GoGi House offers a great selection, including:

Kimchi (Spicy and Sour Cabbage Kimchi) – This snack combines a balanced combination of sour, spicy and slightly sweet flavors, adding depth to the meal.

Pickled Radish – The sweet and sour flavors help refresh the palate, highlighting the richness of the grilled meat.

Grilled Vegetables (Grilled Mushrooms, Grilled Eggplant with Scallion Oil) – The mushrooms and eggplant absorb the smoky flavor wonderfully, creating a perfect combination with the meat.

  1. Traditional Korean Dishes – Authentic Flavors

In addition to grilled dishes, I also tried some classic Korean dishes, each of which retained its original flavor:

Cold Noodles – The chewy, cool noodles in a refreshing broth create a contrast with the smoky and spicy grilled meat.
Bibimbap – Served in a hot stone bowl, this mixed rice dish combines vegetables, eggs and a rich sauce.

Seaweed Soup – A light yet comforting dish that completes the meal.

For those who love hot pot, GoGi House also offers a variety of rich broths, such as Spicy Kimchi Hot Pot, Bulgogi Hot Pot and Seafood Hot Pot.

The restaurant provides high chairs for children, which is convenient for large families.

They accept Visa/Mastercard payments and provide VAT invoices upon request.

Is it worth the price?

Many people think that high-end barbecue is expensive, but GoGi House offers reasonable prices for top-quality food.
The buffet option is priced at VND369,000/person, including a variety of meats, salads, hot pots and desserts.

The a la carte menu ranges from VND59,000 to VND469,000/dish, catering to a wide range of tastes
Compared to other Korean BBQ restaurants in the area, GoGi House has a more diverse menu.

My experience at GoGi House - Le Van Luong was fantastic.

For anyone craving a delicious, complete Korean dining experience, GoGi House is a must-visit. I will definitely be back to try other dishes.
