Kibab or kebab, kebap, kabog are terms used by muslims for grilled meat depending on which country one is from. Originally, the kind of meat being used in Kebab is veal, or a young cow because of its still tender meat. Nowadays, they also use chicken meat because it´s much cheaper than the veal. Others use lamb but it´s much more expensive than the chicken. Skewer is just the term used by the americans or english for meat being grilled using the bamboo or metal piece called skewer .
