Fried Green Plantains
Here you have it. For every snacker out there try this mouthwatering Caribbean snack. You will love it!!!!!!!!!
Things you will need:
- 3 Green plantains
- salt
- Black Pepper
- oil
- Plantain Crusher
Method:
1: Remove skin from plantain and slice into small chunks
2: Add oil to a large skillet
3: add the chunks of plantain to the pan and fry until both sides are brown
4: Remove plantain from the pan and place them on a plate
5: Use plantain crusher or plantain peel and press down on each plantain till its flat. (Try not to press too hard it will break.)
6: mix a teaspoon of salt with a 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper in a small dish.
7: sprinkle the mixture on both sides of each crushed plantain
8: Return plantains to the frying pan and fry on each side for about 3-5 minutes or until they are brown and crispy on each side.

As a Dominican we eat that by the side with the meals, why don't you teach them how to fry the mature/yellow platain next time? It's nice the difference in taste and texture it gets.
