There is a Russian dish that is made in the similar way of turning it upside-down and topping it (with glaze), but it is a dessert called Kulich (кулич). It is made on Easter and has to get sanctified in the church before eating. Its main ingredients are eggs, milk, sugar and flour.
I know, I love it!! I miss it here in Sweden. Let's bake it together next spring, okay? ;)
Sure! There are recipes with cream fillings :) they get very dry otherwise.
