Bananas help shield you from a lot of scary diseases!
Bananas grow in hot tropical areas, Like Mexico.
They only have 110 calories per fruit, and they are high in potassium, Low In fat, cholesterol and are sodium free!

You seriously need to eat more of this oddly shaped fruit!

  • Rub the banana on itchy bites; It will cure the itch for you.
  • Polish leather shoes and silverware
  • Bananas can reduce PMS symptoms!
  • Bananas can help with calcium loss, To help with your bones!
  • Helps Digestion
  • Remove heavy metals and toxins.
  • Lower constipation

Potassium

Is good for heart health a function! Eating a lot of them can help prevent high blood pressure. Each Banana contains about 400 MG of potassium, Most adults need 3,500 mg a day!

Most foods do contain potassium, so It can be hard to get enough, But if you are trying to get even more eating a couple of banannas each day will do that for you!
Although be careful you don't get too much potassium in your diet, Because that can have the opposite effect.

Uses for Bananas

  • Whiten teeth
  • Ice cream
  • Exfoliating (Add salt )
  • Relieve itchiness.
  • Face mask
  • Tenderize meat
  • Silverware polish.

Bananas are sweet! But they are very low in natural sugar!
These are a perfect snack for athletes because they can also prevent muscle cramps. I didn't know this before! I always get cramps in my calves because I do a lot of running! Now I know to eat lots of bananas to fix the issue!

  • Plantains are also part of the banana family, Although they aren't as sweet.

Storage

Do not place in the refrigerator; They are great on the counter! Just don't expose them too much cold or heat.
If they are green, They aren't ripe yet. You want them yellow, With some small brown spots.

As you stated - You can also use a banana skin to polish shoes if you are in a rush and don't have shoe polish. It does actually work. Just make sure there aren't any pieces of banana left on the skin.

At least the Banana is better than the grapefruit, Grapefruit juice tend to mess up many many modern medications. At least the little bananas is just a potassium fiend; the grapefruit is just dangerous to anyone on different medications : )

Yep heart and kidney conditions tend to get complicated by Potassium; but of course that is not actually the bananas fault : )

The potassium from bananas is also great if you are cramping up from exercise. Helped me through two decades of playing basketball.

Yep @scaredycatguide this fruit can be taken before and after a training or any type of sport, it really helps and in those momment you can open the metabolic window ( perfect time in your body to taka a natural suport like fruit).

Basketball; now there is one bad-arze sport . . .

You survive a few decades of basketball; you automatically get an audition as a leading role in Mad Max movies : )

Bananas are one of my FAVORITE foods!
When I was a raw/vegan I ate 12 bananas a day regularly!
I still have a ripped 6 pack!

Bananas are just delicious fruit. For eating i prefer them just slightly greenish, while for milkshakes, fully ripe :-)

I grew up eating Bananas in the Caribbean. It is still our main export crop. Bananas is a wonder food.

Very interesting post! Never thought of many of those things to be uses for bananas. I'm guessing the first banana with the chocolate and whipped cream might have more than 110 calories, but I'm going to pretend it doesn't :)

I'll just chew each bite extra and have my jaws work off the calories :) Problem solved. In fact, if I shew fast enough, I may eat chocolate whited cream bananas and lose weight :)
