Never knew that banana blossom can be consumed this way (steamed). I am more familiar with the Vietnamese style of preparation (i.e. sliced very thinly and eaten raw as salad).
Pretty strange isn't it, you lived among the Indian and/or Pakistani communities but there is no banana blossom in sight? Indians consumed banana blossom too.
By the way, will tempeh go well with the overall dish in place of tofu?

We just don't have fresh tempeh, where I live, unless we make it ourselves and yes obviously you can have tempeh tofu whatever you like
This is the first time I heard the South Asian people also eat banana blossom? We don't have any ethnic stored but one Filipino store. At the big supermarkets only have Indian spices, not even vegetable 😂
