A delicious, easy and low-in-sugar hot chocolate for those long winter nights, or when you need a quick pick-me-up!
Cook time: 3 minutes
Servings: 1
Cost: $2.25
Ingredients:
250ml dairy milk or coconut milk
1/2 tablespoon cacao
1 teaspoon unrefined sugar or sugar substitute (like stevia, maple syrup, maple sugar, date sugar, coconut sugar, or coconut nectar)
Steps:
- Over low heat, mix milk, cacao and unrefined sugar. Keep mixing until smooth and creamy and serve.
We use fresh coconut milk because it is naturally sweet. You can add more sweetener if desired, especially if you are using another type of milk.
Optional: top with cinnamon
