I am so glad you found the good stuff! Supermarket honey is no good. It tastes like liquid sugar to me. Only get the real stuff.. and if you know someone that has bees and will sell it to you in the season when it so yummy and fresh you are a lucky man :)
We always had bees in our family and I was helping taking the honey. My favorite is always the first one of the season, from rapeseed flowers. It is very light in colour, delicate and when it crystallizes it has a very buttery consistency. Soooo yum :)
Oh that's incredible! I wish there were more kinds available locally. I'd love to try more flavors of honey.
You definitely should! Best way would be to find some local guy (or girl) in the countryside to buy honey directly at different times of the year. Totally worth it!
