For the longest time, I didn't use honey at all. If I wanted something sweet I'd buy it with sugar added or use white cane sugar myself. But when I began eating Greek yogurt, I decided to stop buying the pre-sweetened kind and use honey instead. What a difference that made. But...I was just using the usual filtered store brand. Finally, I recently discovered a locally produced unfiltered honey that I love. There are several different versions of honey, but for taste, I completely LOVE orange blossom honey. It just tastes sweeter and more fragrant to me, almost like a flower. And this local Southern California brand, Isabell's Honey Farm, was a really great find. So I have to ask fellow Steemers, do you like honey? And what's your favorite kind?

right, this kind of honey is naturally delicious! I also use organic honey and the taste is different. idon't feel aftertaste on my tongue.
Golden honey is the nectar of gods.
Instead of honey, I usually go for agave nectar -- did you ever try using that when you weren't eating honey? It's naturally sweet, I put it in my coffee every morning
I've tried agave nectar for coffee but didn't really like it. But since I switched from hot coffee to cold brew, I don't use sugar anymore. Something about the cold brew, I don't need to sweeten it, I just add a little cream.
I am a honeyholic!!! that picture is the equivalent of putting a nice cake or drink to some :) thank you for sharing
Orange Blossom honey sounds really delicious. We use raw unfiltered honey in my restaurant and it really is good.
A lot of people drink it in their tea or even in their coffee. The only problem is you don't want to get it on your fingers because that stuff is really sticky.
Oh that's great! At least from what I read, raw unfiltered is potentially better for you. But yes, getting it on fingers is annoying!
Honey is such an amazing food! I always buy local honey to help battle the effects of seasonal allergies. This looks good enough to drink! lol
Looks good... can’t say I have tried different types of honey before but this is intriguing and I will check it out 👍🏻

I love honey! There are many local producers in the Czech Republic too... not that many here in Mexico though. I wonder how much a jar like this one costs in the US? I know honey can be very expensive in some countries... Nice shot btw!
Thanks! I guess I don't know what makes for good honey making regions but I would've guessed Mexico would have some. Because it's local and raw unfiltered, it's definitely more expensive. This was $9 US. The same size for regular honey would probably be about $5 US. It's totally worth it though. I love it!
Interesting... I actually though it would be more. In the Czech Republic, a jar of regular honey is about those $8-9 US. But as you say, it is definitely worth it ;) There are so many ways to use it! I just love it.
Nice color! I haven't have honey for long time but maybe I'll try this brand.
I love honey, but I haven't ever tried unfiltered honey, can you taste the difference? Our supermarkets have started selling honey jars with honeycomb in too, the idea sounds weird to me but my wife says it's delicious. Might have to give it a go! Certainly not a honey connoisseur though! Just plain old store bought does me!
Well, I can taste differences between kinds of honey (multi-clover vs orange blossom) but within the same kind of honey, I don't really taste a big difference between filtered and unfiltered. I'd say the difference is unfiltered tastes less overtly sugary sweet which I like. Supposedly there are health benefits to raw unfiltered, but it doesn't seem like science actually supports it. It's funny, I just posted this for a food photo but it turned into a popular conversation. People love their honey!
People love their honey and their Bees! It's just one of those kind of incredible little feats of nature really. People loved Stevia and Truvia, then science said those were worse than Sugar. You just can't beat nature, Honey is the natural healthy alternative! Might have to get adventurous and try some orange blossom honey next time I'm at the shops!
I am so glad you found the good stuff! Supermarket honey is no good. It tastes like liquid sugar to me. Only get the real stuff.. and if you know someone that has bees and will sell it to you in the season when it so yummy and fresh you are a lucky man :)
We always had bees in our family and I was helping taking the honey. My favorite is always the first one of the season, from rapeseed flowers. It is very light in colour, delicate and when it crystallizes it has a very buttery consistency. Soooo yum :)
Oh that's incredible! I wish there were more kinds available locally. I'd love to try more flavors of honey.
You definitely should! Best way would be to find some local guy (or girl) in the countryside to buy honey directly at different times of the year. Totally worth it!
