Lime juice is super! We add lemon juice. Instead of cheese, you can make plain cow curd. You can make it yourself from milk. ..... Sorry, did not consider that you have a problem with the place of cooking. But, if you let the milk get sour and warm even in an electric kettle, or with a reboiler, the cottage cheese will turn out to be better than in your store or in the bazaar. Yes, that is one of my few things I miss. I am a cheese lover. Thai people think is is rotten milk and don't like it for the most part. I got some Danish cheese once for about $10 and the portion was so small it was gone in a heartbeat. I also do not eat the bread here - it's all like wonder bread - yuck.
And don't even try the "pizza." The sauce is like ketchup, the cheese is gross, the crust is limp, and they give you a little packet of dried oregano on the side just to make you cry!
Oh wow. Maybe I should have opened up a restaurant over there and showed them how to cook!!! LOL (but then everyone would be fat like me). ;)
