Behind that very bad pun is a question which bothers me since I live in Spain: at which point does an "arroz" (rice in Spanish) becomes a Paella? Because Spanish people eat a lot of arroz. Not all "arroz" are paella, but there is no paella without "arroz"... So, is it when you add the vegetables? the meat? the way you do it? That question is quite tricky and you can hear a lot of interpretation. But anyway, here is my submission of the day for @juliank contest.

I get your word joke and have a little story for you in return:
My parents are friends with a couple named Rina and Lein.
They got two daughters, namely: Elja and Olga.
I call her father paella (pa-elja) as pa - or papa - is Dutch for father.
I sometimes tell my parents that I saw Paella and when they look at me with a confused gaze in their eyes, I explain that I'm referring to Lein (the father of Elja)
P.S. A mi me encanta paella! Can't wait to eat a real paella again in Spain. Who knows, I might even visit Granada one of these days, but first Berlin.
