I get the feeling that he's more of a hooper than a football player. His dad actually played for the Bears. And he also has the offers from Florida, Arizona, Illinois, Oregon State, Oklahoma and UCLA on the football side of things. But from checking him out and seeing what's really on his mind. I could be wrong....but I get the vibe that football is something he does because his dad did it and it's something that he's always excelled at. I believe his heart is on the court.
Not sure if any more offers have come in the past week....but as far as basketball goes, he has offers from Florida State, Nevada, Florida, Depaul and ASU (both sports).
When someone identifies themselves as a basketball player that plays football.....that statement speaks volumes. : )
Ohhhhh I like this.. so what will he decide to play? What sport does he think he has an easier road to the pros in and the better chance to star in? Hmmmm can’t play both anymore!!!
Harris underwent shoulder surgery this summer to repair a torn labrum, so he hasn't appeared in a football game for Higley this season — but his father, former All-American linebacker Sean Harris, said he should be able to return by the end of the regular season.
In the last three weeks the 6-foot-8-inch, 215-pounder has collected three Division I basketball offers from DePaul, Florida State, and now ASU. As a freshman at Mesa Desert Ridge, he picked up football offers from Oklahoma, Arizona, UCLA, Oregon State and Illinois.
Harris is the No. 2 ranked basketball prospect in Arizona for the 2020 class, and is also the the ninth-ranked power forward in the country among high school sophomores. In football, he is also ranked second by azcentral sports among 2020 prospects. https://www.azcentral.com/story/sports/high-school/recruiting/2017/10/03/jason-harris-gilbert-higley-recruiting-high-school-football-high-school-basketball/728045001/
