Harris underwent shoulder surgery this summer to repair a torn labrum, so he hasn't appeared in a football game for Higley this season — but his father, former All-American linebacker Sean Harris, said he should be able to return by the end of the regular season.
In the last three weeks the 6-foot-8-inch, 215-pounder has collected three Division I basketball offers from DePaul, Florida State, and now ASU. As a freshman at Mesa Desert Ridge, he picked up football offers from Oklahoma, Arizona, UCLA, Oregon State and Illinois.
Harris is the No. 2 ranked basketball prospect in Arizona for the 2020 class, and is also the the ninth-ranked power forward in the country among high school sophomores. In football, he is also ranked second by azcentral sports among 2020 prospects.
