This Women is a master at her craft and has an amazing approach to teaching children, so go check her out and welcome @shivvi to the magical world of STEEMIT!!!!
Yay! oh man, this makes me so stoked to see! I'm glad you didn't give up- you're right the confidence and fitness is going to serve the girls so well (not that they aren't already AWESOME- I totally experienced that at steemfest)
I would have done literal backflips for circus school when I was their age !
That looks like so much fun! And out in beautiful nature too! Discovering the world while finding your balance in all kinds of different physical position seems something that would teach us a lot about life. Rudolf Steiner teaches that we have more then 5 senses and there are words for that: sense of movement, sense of balance. They are actually vital senses that have an impact on a wide range of functions in life including emotional and mental. Training sense of balance and sense of movement is something that is neglected in the lives of children who are playing online games instead of moving their bodies and has consequences.
You know what they sag @markwhittam that every child deserve the very best. It helps them have a positive mindset towards the world and that alone is what changes the world we live in- positive minded and happy children.
Seems like this type of kinesthetic education is so very much lacking in modern culture. Thanks for bringing the circus school to light. I for one have come to know my body more as an adult, but spend many hours as a child in sports where rules and structure were the norm. If we let children explore the natural world and their bodies on their own terms perhaps we would have a happier, healthier and stronger population.
This look like a lot of Amazing Fun! What a cool dad you are to bring the circus-school to your girls! They will be very strong and confident...so exciting :) Great Pics!!!
Yeah definitely circus school, I second what you say about @shivvi, my girls have been doing trapeze and silks with her for nearly 3 months now and she is awesome. Great post Mark and love those photos.
Sometimes the kids do need to have it spelled out that it's okay to start from nothing and build up to all that talent they perceive everyone else has having :) Glad they're enjoying it now :D
Yes, I think this type of sport is great for kids, however sports they teach at school are always competitive which I'm not such a fan of as I believe this leads to a competitive nation.
Hi friend how are you doing, from your sweet post I am sure that you and your family are enjoying much. Thanks you deserve the happiness, you are a very good father so your choice for your kids are definitely very good. Children are always active and energetic, they are always interested in learning in a very beautiful envirnment. So that sporting envirnment is the best place for the kids, thanks for sharing your beautiful post my friend, stay blessed and healthy with your family members. Thanks.
God, that looks like such fun!! I want to go to circus-school too!
Well, you could argue that state school is a sort of circus, with kids being treated very badly and made to perform and so on...I mean they certainly try to train them like monkeys, I know that.
Still, I like your circus-school better. Rock on, Mark :)
Trapeze, now that's cool. Your daughters look like they're having so much fun, go for circus school :D
My kids homeschool too and we joined chess club but I'm thinking of gymnastics next because my daughter loved her intro class before. I might need to go look for a local circus school if she sees these photos.
I love this! School should be what you love and what your talents are best suited to. Dont get me wrong, you also want to know the basics of reading, writing and maths, but that can be taught in various ways throughout childhood.
My daughter goes to gymnastics, which she's not the best at, because she's not the build for it. However, there was a girl who was talented and was in the elite training squad. I overheard her mum telling someone that the school basically told her she had to stop the training hours that went into any school time and homework time, because her dyslexia meant she was behind. To me, dyslexia is something she will always live with and will learn to work with. She's never going to be the same as children without it, no matter how much extra work she's made to put into it. However, gymnastics was her strength and she could potentially have made something of it had they not stopped her. To me they told that girl and her mother that she wasn't allowed to be anything and she didn't fit in their boxes!
This is really something different and fun for children to involve with. Learning outside the classroom is much fun and easy to learn than the usual thing to do. I prefer this one as well, for our children have their way of self expression. Very nice post and encoyraging. Thank you @markwhittam <3
This is beyond cool! I love how homeschooling gives children the room to choose whatever discipline they'd like to get involved in. Good for you for going the extra mine to help them pursue a class like this. 😍

Sense of movement, sense of balance!
Idea came to mind right away:
To find a tree and climb it!
Thank you for your thoughtful comment @clara-andriessen.
Do it!
Yeah I would my children too to get a schooling for their own self-confidence-building activities like having a school with circus-like approach.
Yes @cryptopie! Wouldn't the world be special if all children could express themselves in this way. :)
Thanks for stopping by @cryptopie

Agreed!
Sports at school are all about picking your side and going to battle, no wonder the world is a little messed up right now.
Thank for your input.
Bless.

Thank you @crosheille, strength and confidence are very important, with these two, nothing can stop a child from becoming whatever they wish.
Bless.
Absolutely :)
Think of all the different types of school there could be!
Space School
Poet School
Farm School
Theater School
Philosopher School
Forest School
Ocean School
Restaurant School
Entrepreneur School
The possibilities are endless. It would be so wonderful if all education was voluntary, exploratory, and empowering!
Totally agree, only, You forgot Steemit school ;)
Thanks for dropping in @lesliestarrohara
