Dada had a huge potbelly. He was a big man. You'd say he be scary, but he's a gentle giant. He doesn't talk rough, he's a kind hearted person.
Mama and Dada met on a dancing festival, Mama was the town beauty, she'd won most of the pagents each year. Dada was a shy lad, he had a long time crush on Mama but he stood far away for fear that people would laugh at his attempts to befriend Mama. He had big funny glasses and pants that were tucked a little too high, the kind of guy that you'd never see having any business with a fine lady such as Mama. But Mama, she knew better. Dada may not own the most beautiful face in town, but if he were to come second in the heart department, nobody would come first!
One hot summer night during the dance festival, while the rest of the townfolks were dancing the night away, Mama was with her girlfriends enjoying the dance. There he was again, Dada with his shy rugged looks standing from afar, dazed as he enjoyed the twists and twirls of those who danced well.
Mama decided to go over and invite him to dance, definitely out of the norm for many, I'd say. Dada was caught off-guard when Mama walked over, he said he almost fainted when Mama asked him to dance! He was so shy he'd only manage to shake his head. He didn't want to embarrass Mama since he didn't know how to dance. But Mama, she couldn't care less. Before Dada could utter a word, she pulled him out to the dance floor and danced the night away.
The rest was history.
As years go by Dada's confidence grew, and so did his belly! I used to tease Mama and asked her if she'd choose Dada if he had a potbelly then, she said, "I love your Dada and his potbelly, that belly is the result of a happy life. If I were to turn back time, I'd still choose him in a heartbeat."
