We said. I am also very excited about the possibilities of Steem and can't wait till the things to make it realise it's potential are running. The Tribes gave me great encouragement and hopefully the SMTs and Communities will help it move into the fast lane. Steem is the medium but for now unfortunately it is still the subject.

I agree, I think tribes really showed us what was possible and now seeing communities on the beta site is making it all come to life.
I think that is the barrier we definitely needed to overcome to take the next big steps, as we need a bit more customization and help for users to find their people in a way..as that is what social is all about.
