Tales from a hospital

After a well-deserved vacation, I return to the time in #Freewrite about the topic "nails" proposed by the beloved @mariannewest Today I bring you a little story about real life, because this happened about 4 years ago, it was a young boatman of 25 years, he worked on the coasts making trips from islets to islets to make a living, it was very risky, not He cared if there was high tide, if it was night or if a storm was about to start.

I remember that it was a very cold week and affected by the winter, when I was standing guard in that medical outpatient clinic, when the young boatman arrived bleeding and crying of pain, because the boat had hit the nail of the thumb of one of his feet. .. We could barely clean it and tell him some painkillers and antibiotics, since this young man refused to stop working to keep rest and medicate, he attended the clinic and retired from the medication.

The days passed and this young man continued with his daily task, however, he started to present fever and foot inflation ... he did not pay much attention ... it had already been 2 months when the young boatman returned to the medical outpatient, passed out .. ... with that foot wrapped in fabrics ... What happened? Well, he has not taken the medication, he has not kept rest ... What can be done? nothing ... you have to refer to a surgeon the abscessed cellulite that started in that nail has advanced and you have grangenado the foot ..... Unfortunately, to this day this young man suffers from amputation of one of its members inferiors

We must create awareness, sometimes small things bring great consequences!

That is a very sad story :(

and yes, people don't realize how important it is to take care of the little things before they become big.

Thank you for reminding us all of this!

It is an apprenticeship for everyone! Thank you for reading and commenting

Ahh how sad he lost that by infection! Infection needs good antibiotics and rest. Nice freewrite.

You are correct, thank you very much for your kind comment.

Wow! I feel for this young man and what he must have felt he had to do at the time. We always must look beyond the present to ensure our future. Sad story. Thanks for sharing.

It's like that, thank you very much for commenting

I am happy to hear that you were on a vacation. Oh, I feel so bad for the boatman and I sure hope he learned his lesson. He still has pain to this day? So sad.
