I was watching an episode of "vampirina" on Disney junior this morning, (a result of living in a house full of children under 6 years of age) and I learnt a very profound lesson about "team work"
In this episode of "vampirina", a family of 3 vampires had come down with the dreaded "batty fever" which was characterised by a warm forehead, a fuzzy feeling, sneezing and then automatic transformation into a bat with an inability to transform back to the Vampire form.

Now, to cure this dreaded illness, a potion had to be made. A potion that had to be cooked just right, neither overcooked nor undercooked.

The responsibility of making this potion fell on the family's ghost and gorgoil because they all were confined to the bed, but instead of working together the ghost and gorgoil decided to work independently because they each believed that they were better at making the potion than the other person.

The gorgoil had the first shot at making the potion and was extremely slow at it in his bid to be very careful, hence overcooking the potion. When he administered his potion to one of the sick vampires, the vampire (still in the bat form) was transformed to a snail instead of his vampire form (obviously the gorgoil's potion did not work).

Now came the turn of the ghost, the ghost was really fast at making the potion, hence under cooking it and when the potion was administered to one of the sick vampires, the Vampire (still in the bat form) was transformed to a goat instead of back to her vampire form.

The now downcast gorgoil and ghost were encouraged by the sick vampires not to give up and advised to work together instead of independently.
The gorgoil and ghost took this advice, and combining each of their strengths (the gorgoil's carefulness, and the ghost's speed) the potion came out just right.... Neither overcooked nor undercooked and when this potion was administered to the sick vampire family, they were all transformed back to their vampire form and were cured of the dreaded "Batty fever"..... Yaaay!!!!!

Moral of the story

  • We all have our strengths and weaknessess
  • We should not be discouraged by our weaknesses
  • Working as a team, gets the job done faster and better.

Hello @doris-adioha....
I have to be sincere writing this. How you creatively illustrated about term work using gorgoil and ghost is fantastically amazing. That's creativity at its apex. All this gifted writers, fear them.
Reading through reminded me of a popular saying that goes "when great people unite together, great things happen". Tell Gorgoil and Ghost to calm down with their team work, we understand how they feel 😂😂😂 lols.
Importantly , to add to the lessons, we shouldn't all trust our strength as well, many of the times, we could be over confidence and end up with an average output at the end of the day. What's my point, avoid much of over confidence.

Doris... I sabi say you good. Continue to watch movie and cartoons very well. Inspiration fall on you.

LMAO.... Thank you Peter for your kind words and for stopping by.

I am scared already..... Lord!!!!!

Lol..... Scaredy cat.

Now, being a cartoon lover, I wonder why I haven't heard of Vamparina before. The cartoon must be dope, judging by your illustrations and didactic letterings. And yes, as fur the morals, well taken by me. Thanks for this.

Didactic: designed or intended to teach people something

I had to go and search for the meaning of that word.... You got me running for my dictionary😂😂
Thanks for visiting my blog dear, it's an honor to have you here...
