I think I will need to wait for at least another 20 years before I can upgrade to a grandparent... But yes, they change a lot...
Like my youngest daughter, she started going to kindergarten this year... Just went to kindergarten for four days... And I feel like "wow", she is different now!
Feels like she has suddenly "grow up"!
