Day 826: 5 Minute Freewrite: Friday - Prompt: fish fillet

Most Americans would recognize a fish fillet by its texture, which is similar to the striated skin of a lobster. Once cooked, a fish fillet is cut into even larger pieces, and is served in its own juices, in a sauce of its own.

The fish has three basic steps, starting with cooking, slicing, and serving. The fillet is cooked at a temperature which causes it to turn tender as well as taste of fishy delicacy. Once this process is complete the fillet can be sliced thin. Because the fillet is cooked, it is still fairly tough and very nice. Salmon fillets are commonly eaten with a lemon or lemon juice, and a simple side of fries and a potato salad. Salmon was used extensively in early settlements to provide a source but now this kind is very expensive buy.
