Great write.
Many things about it reminds me of one of my favourite picture books. I say picture book rather than children's book, as although it is illustrated it is very much an adult themed book.
Woolvs in the Sitee . It was written phonetically. There was a version (I think released in the US), that was corrected, but you must read the "porli rittin won" it lost its impact when it was changed.
The phonetics is not what prompted me to make a connection, your writing is perfect. It shares the isolation of a boy terrified in a home, set in an ambiguous post apocalyptic scene (or at least it is from his perspective) . Leaving the reader wondering what is real, and what is magical or more specifically terrifyingly imagined by a child's interpretations and fears.

I've long wanted to read a book that was written phonetically and this one really does look interesting. I love that you connected it to my story because of the...darkness in it :) I'll definitely try to get this as soon as i can.
Thank you!
